I'm loving it. 3 got me into the series and nothing since has been nearly as good and this is almost a return to form for me. The island especially. Agree with missing the skill trees and it's annoying to keep changing gear.

After New Dawn I thought I was done with the series but FC6 has me back in.

Far cry is honestly one of the only game series where I don’t mind it being the same thing over and over again.

I really like the look of this game,but Ubisoft games seem to drop in price so quickly,I'll wait for a sale..love the look of the environment.

I work in a warehouse from 6am to 1pm and when I get home exhausted I still want to play this game. Except for a skill tree this game has it all, and keeps me interested. Unlike cyberpunk, the characters are very likeable and this helps draw me in. I actually put this game above FC3, this is as good as it gets for Far Cry.

I felt exactly the same, at first I was like “eh I like it it’s okay” but as I played it more it really hooked me. The changes really started to click for me on hour 3 and I think it’s a fantastic game

Idk why but I preferred primal over 3, I just fell in love with the game and never had any complaints about it. Primal was the best far cry in my opinion. I got no idea why it got so much stick, even in a different language I felt so engaged, the world was stunning, mounts and pets were actually useful like fangs, and the gameplay was solid and meaty.

I love the gunplay in this game. It’s addictive

Far Cry 5 left such a sour taste in my mouth. That game felt like such a chore to play and I was so happy it was over. I don’t get that feeling with far cry 6 at all. It’s a lot more fun and not the right word but “realized” than fc5 ever felt. Having a lot of fun so far and genuinely looking forward to more!

i bought far cry 6 2 days ago and i cannot stop playing it. i love far cry and this game is so fun. the character are so likable to me. feel so cool when i just go on a tear and kill like 60 soldiers. and the map makes me wanna just drive for hours and never leave my car.

The game opens up so much once you leave the tutorial Island. I love exploring the different environments in this game. And I love on some of the coasts how it almost feels like a vacation getaway, with vacation chairs and drink huts and what not

The best thing about it is that Jake makes videos on it!

60 FPS makes fat cry 6 so much better for me after playing on 30 FPS for every far cry game 😭. Yara is a beautiful island! The characters and story are great! The gameplay is fun as well.

Pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, been playing it from Day 1 and it has become my favorite Far Cry game Hell, I like it so much I've even treated myself to some of the stuff from the in-game Store XD I honestly can't get enough of these games and their formula so many 'reviewers' and 'gamers' spit on

Awesome views and I completely agree. The first few hours weren’t great and I thought I was going to quit but the travel, landscape, and exploration is what hooked me, also when Dani (girl) started singing to the radio. The charm hit me.

I’m just through the tutorial island and I’m already having a blast. I can’t wait to get into the meat of the game. This is a one-man army action movie simulator!

I've enjoyed this game a lot more than I thought I would. I couldn't say the same for Valhalla, though I'm going to likely give Valhalla another chance since I was dealing with bad anxiety and depression when I tried getting into it.

As someone that used to absolutely love far cry, okayed every single one but got lost in new dawn, I wasn’t looking very forward for a new entry, I wasn’t expecting one until the villain played by Giancarlo Esposito got showed I was hyped, something inside of me sparked once again just like when far cry 4 got announced for the first time, it was a nice feeling for a change, I hadn’t been this excited for a new Ubisoft title for a long long time, now that reviews are up, I still waited a bit to see the reception, especially yours, knowing all the positive aspects as a fellow far cry 3 lover myself, I can safely say your impresiones just sold me on the game completely, it’s nice to see far cry back on a mostly positive way!

I'm playing in ps5 and really enjoying it so far. It runs smooth as butter and looks good. Most importantly it is fun. I am really digging the tropical setting. I am loving Dani as a character too. The way she sings along with songs is much appreciated. Really enjoying this Farcry more so than the past couple entries. Game on gamers.

I Agree with you it did take me by surprise, I'm a new 3080ti owner but I'm playing this on stadia mostly for the fact that i can do side missions in bed on my phone, while. Main missions on Chromecast on the big screen, this one can become a classic. Great commentary video, you got new follower!

FarCry 6's Beach Vibes- 10/10. I was very hesitant to buy it because of so many negative reviews but then I realized the most important opinion is my own, and I'll decide my damn self. Lol Im loving the game, very happy I listened to me, I'm a smart guy.

I'm happy to see Primal get some recognition. I loved the gameplay because it felt like the AI couldn't just snipe you from a hundred meters away. The combat felt pretty tangible and the story was satisfying

Yara is way too beautiful not to look at it! I highly recommend playing without the minimap. It’s harder to keep track of where chests and stuff are but using the environment and waypoints already on screen to navigate the world is just even more immersive.

Loving it I’m level 14 almost done with the campaign, my favorite weapon is a level 4 unique AR I found, favorite supremo is the first one they give you it comes in handy so much

I absolutely love far cry 6! It's the first I've played in the series lol. But I waited for your review on gameranx and was sold. Then found this one. Just the whole Latin, Cuban aspect of the game, characters and everything is just amazing. Really has brought me to the side of my culture that I didn't know I needed and didn't know I loved. One of my favorite games in the last couple years.

Nice take. I'm one of those dude bros who is fine with more Far Cry. The gameplay and worlds have always been so addicting to me. I haven't gotten it yet since I've gotten every one cheap on sale a year or so after release but I'm tempted to get Ubisoft+ to run through it real quick.

I played Far Cry 2 and 3. Absolutely loved those games. Skipped Blood Dragon, don’t ask me why. Totally skipped 4, Primal and 5 because of that same reason. I wasn’t “feeling” the games anymore. When I saw this game, through the trailers, I thought it might be good to give it another shot! And I am totally glad I did! Reminds me a whole lot of 2 and 3. And with the Latino flavor, that resonates with me! Great review Jake!

I'm having a great time with it, I agree with everyone, the gameplay does feel a little cut and paste from all the previous but for the most part that hasn't gotten old for me yet. At first I wasn't a huge fan of the bullet types and the different equipment giving us different perks but it's an interesting change. I've only thrown about 8 hours in and have been exploring a lot more than progressing the story. I'm excited to do it up in coop too.

Nice to hear this! I have played all of the Far Cry games and spin offs and had a great time with all of them. Well...until 5 that is. I don't know if the fatigue finally set in, or something about 5 just didn't do it for me. I didn't dislike it, but it wasn't exciting to me and I felt like I was beating it because I felt obligated to since I paid for it. 3 was my favorite, and I remember it very fondly. It was just pure fun all the way through. I think that was because it wasn't a formula. It felt different and new. I also loved the setting. I don't necessarily need them to try to copy 3,but create something fun, new and exciting that makes me feel like 3 did when it was new. This may not be that, but it sounds like it won't bore me like 5 did

Haven’t been able to get into a Far Cry game since 3. Now I’m loving 6. To me Far Cry is tropic island settings all the way. Helps to play a game in this setting when your in lockdown too.

The best thing about Far Cry 6 is the friendly AI, they always make things more dramatic and fun. There’s been times where I’d slip up and get outnumbered by reinforcements, and out of nowhere my comrades would pull up in jeeps or run out of the woods and aide me. They seem to be helpful in a lot of scenarios whether it’s a mission or just free roam stuff. That at least makes up for me not being able to call my own human companion honestly

Can’t wait to jump on this once I complete Metroid dread.

i seriously love this game so far, Far cry will always be fun no matter what they do. also the exploration is amazing. and how the fudge an someone play on console, controller gameplay looks impossible haha. keyboard and mouse is so much better lol, but there again i played on pc since the begining. I also wasn’t sure at first, but this might be my favorite Far Cry game now. I really like the cast of characters with all the kickass women, Clara and Jonron especially. The subtle and not so subtle facts about revolution are also a favorite aspect. Even a successful revolution has a good chance of being flipped by the former rulers becoming the insurgents. The U.S. was lucky that its former overlords were an ocean away. Not enough loyalists for a counter-insurgency to take root.

This game has a perfect combination of the old game play elements I love about Far Cry games, with enough new features and gameplay elements that it makes it feel fresh. And I'm loving it on PS5 at that nice high resolution in 60fps

*Sense of speed:* I'm pleasantly surprised at the movement speed in this game. Once you get a bunch of parkour clothing and supremo mods, I found myself running, crouch-sliding, and supremo boost jumping like a maniac (almost like a 90s arena shooter fast). After hearing many reviews boiling it down to just "endlessly conquering camps" I'm super happy to see the unexpected nuance that the missions have. Im really enjoying this one!

I don’t play multiplayers too much so as you said having a large open world to chip away at is the equivalent of quality gaming time. I still have to say the narrative of far cry 5 and the iconic Joseph seed did strike a deeper cord with me though.

Always great to hear your opinion Jake! I will wait for a sale myself, because (1) I have a lot of games in the backlog and (2) from what I gather from reviews Far Cry 6 is more Far Cry, I don't mind that, but I don't think that that alone warrants a full price purchase

I've loved the Far Cry games. I was waiting on buying 6 as I'm just not excited about the tropical island setting. After 3 and the Just Cause games, and it seems like so many other games, I'm kinda burnt out on tropical islands. I loved 5 because of the rural US setting, it felt new for an open world game.

Just finished 5 on games pass. Had Fc2 back in the day but missed the rest. Immediately bought 6 and am absolutely loving it

I've been playing it since it came out, and really enjoying it. But I was able to get my buddy to get it as well and we play together, he doesn't play as much as me. And we have SO MUCH FUN. We don't even have to be doing the story, just driving around beating up bad guys. It's really fun, and even more fun with someone else.

The removal of the story progress bar and the forced mission timing from 5 was the best change, imo. Having some missions get locked out because you spent time exploring the world was such a terrible feeling, as is getting randomly taken out of something you were doing because its forced story time, yaaay.

Way late to the comments, but I find it so legit when content creators give credit where credit is due. AAA, AA, or A, whatever, respect to props when it’s deserved.

Far Cry 5 was my first Far Cry I played beginning to end and I had a ton of fun playing that game. But Far Cry 6... I feel is a MASSIVE improvement over 5. I absolutely love what they did with this game. I don't even miss the skill tree that much. I LOVE how you can find weapons and good crafting materials out in the world. So satisfying. The sounds with getting head shots is AWESOME! Especially with a silenced rifle. And what I am most impressed by is the insane attention to detail they put into everything. The menu, the crafting, the gameplay, the visuals. I am beyond impressed. I swear it's those little quality of life things that can take a good game to a great game. You can tell they really, at the end of the day, want you to have as much fun and cause as much chaos as possible. That's why they give you stuff early in 6, that took half of Far Cry 5 to unlock. Incase it isn't obvious I am LOVING Far Cry 6 so far and I am very impressed with Ubisoft and the team that made this game.

100% with you on Primal being my favorite after Far Cry 3

I love FC6. The world is fantastic - not just beautiful but smartly constructed for fun gameplay - and the story is compelling. Most of all, no other series does gun mechanics as well as FC. The controls, aiming, variety all feel so good.

Going to pick this up on sale during this holiday season.

I'd love to see another Melee focused far cry. Outside of 3, Primal was most def my favorite. Perhaps a setting in medieval times or Japan as a samurai would be dope.

We've played 3, 4, 5 and New Dawn and we are major 5 + New Dawn lovers! I think Vaas Montenegro and Joesph Seed are hands down the most compelling antagonists we've seen. Castillo seems dangerous and powerful, of course, but I don't feel quite as intrigued - I feel like I've seen dictator stories, I get what he's about. I found both Vaas and Joseph to be way less predictable and way more menacing! We are about six hours into 6 now - having a blast and enjoying the hilarious glitches!

far cry primal is their most underrated game and unfairly so in my opinion and many others it was a massive departure from all the other titles it dared to be different and it is still to date the best looking game if your PC can run it in 4k. so now you know why all far cry games look and feel and play the same, they tried something different and it did not sell so well.

I was in the camp of not really expecting to enjoy 6 after putting down 5 partway through. But after playing for awhile and acquiring some of the cool weapons and vehicles, I've been having a lot of fun with it. It almost feels like Far Cry meets GTA with how huge the map is, and how many vehicle options there are. I love driving around in a tank or flying one of the various attack choppers or planes and causing chaos, or even just taking in the sights.

your farcry 3 take is exactly the same as mine. I have been chasing that high ever since then. I had once considered it my absolute favorite FPS, period. In terms of mechanics, story, immersion, the world, everything. May even still be that for me. I just started 6 late last night so didnt get too far. im diggin it so far tho

This is easily the best video I’ve seen about the game so far. I love the Far Cry series. FC3 was the first one I played and I’ve been a fan since. FC4 is my favorite though. FC5 felt like it was created by another studio attempting to recreate a FC game. It wasn’t a bad game but outside of the core gameplay, it barely felt like FC to me. FC6, to me, has felt the closest to 3 in terms of setting and environment but it also incorporates a lot of the fun factor that 4 had. I haven’t finished the game yet though so I won’t rank it above 3 or 4 yet but it’s definitely better than 5 and a step in the right direction for the series.
