This brings back memories. Lived in Edgemere houses from 1960-1971. Moved back to Brooklyn when I was 12. Still remember though so much has changed

Wow.. I lived on 54-41 Almeda Ave (Edgemere Houses) from 1969-1981 We moved there from Crown Heights Brooklyn. I vividly remember going to the beach everyday with my Mom that very first summer we moved there. Edgemere was a wonderful place to live then, in 1972 or 73 there was a drastic change (and not for the better) I still cherish my time growing up there. The last time i was there was in 2017. I went with my daughter.

Shiiit in the 90s cats out this projects had a lot of respect in Queens. It was dangerous to go inside here. JBS lol what y'all know about that..

I would like to see the area around Far Rockaway High School...I am a 37 year teacher and would like to see the school area and neighborhood especially if I ever get to visit. Would love to teach there if it were still opened!

I lived at 434 Beach 58th street. the last double building, apt 2B. I loved living there from 1961 thru 1969 then moved to 2019 Elk Dr Far Rockaway. Off of 20th st, behind St John's hospital.
