Just got back to Uk from Thailand on the 25 th feb 2024 and I had spoke to an estate agent while I was out there , she told me the law has just changed, apparently you can buy houses with land , not 100% convinced 🤔but double check before buying 👌☺️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

@@garrydye2394 OMG... You are so wrong, and yes it is a classic prejudice a lot of uninformed people think they know.. There is several ways for foreigners to own both properties and land in Thailand. The most common one is to set up a Thai Limited Company.

Water is dirt cheap. I literally pay about 5 bucks a month for my villa. Electricity is reasonable I have a two bedroom that I crank the AC daily on and it cost me 150 bucks a month.

None of those bedroom are big enough for 2 beds. Stop cramming so much crap into small areas. And never have a headboard block part of a window. The views from the upstairs bedrooms are not good. Is that television slot big enough for an 85" television? All of the bathrooms are too small.

This is dirt cheap. Will the property in Thailand be permanently owned or is it like 80~100 year rent? If this house is cheaper than the car I drive I could buy few. Only if it is mine and not owned by the governement.

In a nutshell, yes, you can buy the house as a foreigner but you can not own the land on which the house stands. Complete and absolute ownership for foreigners is possible only in the case of a condominium. Land in Thailand can only be purchased and owned by a Thai citizen. For instance the Thai wife buys the land and the foreign husband buys the house. That is possible. My wife is Thai and we are also thinking about buying a house, since we prefere it from living in a condo. Before not long ago it was completely impossible for foreigners to buy and own a house but now it is possible only that you need a Thai partner who will own the land on which the house stands.

Nope. You have to buy it in conjunction with a Thai national who will have ownership or buy it through an incorporated company in which Thais are the majority shareholders. You can arrange to lease the property back from them so you will always have access but what is the point. I am fairly certain you can buy a condo outright if the owners of the units in the building are a Thai majority. All property over there barely appreciates in value and the rent is a fraction of what it is in the west. Leave your assets/money in your country of origin and rent in Thailand.

Good advice but I believe you can buy land outright now ,but keep in mind there are different classes of title and some are more secure than others which will affect price. Also if you live there you need to be sure you can retain a visa and laws and rules can change any time @@markadler8968

I dont like the bathroom at all. Thats the type of bathroom in RV's. Yuck in a home? Also the so called downstairs bedroom is small as a closet. They should of made it an office. Bedrooms small for the $. Other homes in that area cost $50k cheaper.

It looks nice at first glance but some pretty crappy craftsmanship is showing in the bathrooms that are pretty ugly btw and the bedrooms are very small except for the master. Tiny wet baths also. Nah. I think there’s nicer for similar prices.
