@@pers4855 Ah, that's the problem I'm finding with the X70 I purchased about a month ago. I feel it isn't really a hinderance as much as I originally thought it would be. Same as the XF10 in a way. Just gotta get used to and anticipate how slow it will be. I have my X100V if I need a fast compact, and I still have my DSLR if I nee work speed. I just think the XF10 was an amazing RAW file performer. I would never shoot it in JPEG and I'm finding the same with the X70. That's for a future video though. If you care to share any photos you took with it, I'd love to see it. And I hope you made a profit off the sale haha!

@@MPD90 The X100V is without a doubt the only camera I recommend to someone that needs a camera for anything (sans sports/wildlife). I usually take two cameras with me, a large sensor one and a compact one that I can fit in my side bag. If it's a day where I just want to go lightweight, I take the X100V, set it to my JPEG custom profile and know I don't need to worry about anything. I'd say the autofocus is not as fast as a DSLR, but my secondary camera is a GFX50r and it's miles faster than that (of course).

I'm so serious, I really miss my XF10 as time goes on. I say shoot for the X100V and try to get the XF10 after. If you don't like the quality of the XF10 or the focal length, then you'll still have the superior X100V.

Also, maybe you can discuss how you decide which camera to buy? @@lz8217 Got a lot of stuff in mind to do and I'm excited. In terms of choosing a camera, it really depends on what you want out of it. It's really hard to choose a new camera that's "bad" because of how well advancements have come. I also feel that an important part of photography is working through limitations, and every camera has limits. Being a good photographer means being able to work with what you got, so I just tell people to buy the cheapest camera they can afford. I also tell people to have a full sized "work" camera, and a pocket sized "fun" camera they can keep in their bag or car glove box. In the end, the best thing you can do is just search for your budget, find the camera on Flickr, and see if there are any RAW files you can download and play with if you shoot RAW. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much! When I shoot this camera, I try to get my photos as contrasty as possible because it pairs well with the Classic Chrome simulation. I shot in RAW only, and exposed to the right because the shadows were very pliable. In fact, I've saved more than a handful of images that I thought were under exposed originally. I've made a collection of Lightroom presets that work perfectly with the RAW files for this camera, actually. If I'm allowed to self promote, hahaha.

Nope! Shot this camera completely in RAW. A lot of photos were edited with my Lightroom preset pack "Afterglow" though.

It still works well and all, I just sold it along with another camera when I bought an X100V. It kinda just phased out the need to own an XF10. I owned mine for about half a year. Enjoy using it!

All photos shot in RAW and edited in Lightroom. Most of them were edited with my Afterglow preset pack.

Thank you for watching! Over the years, Fujifilm have released firmware updates to improve the autofocus beyond the original reviews that claimed it was "slow and inaccurate". Sadly, I didn't own the camera back then so by time I got the camera I didn't have a way to compare it to then. This camera works best in bright light anyway so that's where the autofocus will be best. If I were to compare it to another camera that's most similar, it would be my X100V, and it's nowhere near as fast as that. But the autofocus gets the job done. Like I said, the camera speed was fast enough that if I ever missed a shot, I could retake it and not miss anything if the autofocus did.

Sadly without any sort of stabilization, mic inputs, adequate 4k of usable speed or hotshoes, I wouldn't recommend it for video. It does shoot 1080p and will look okay on a tripod for b-roll. Overall I could not recommended this compact camera for video let alonje KZfaq content. Check out the Lumix LX10 though, I made a video on and with it. Maybe it'll be more to your liking.
