Yuan Deita I had mine updated and it still has the same issues. So maybe was just mine.

@@yuandeita5844 I tried pretty much everything, unfortunately FOR ME is not what I need. But you should tried. It might work for your style.

I shoot with mine quite a bit and do not have any issues with AF even with a circular polarizer (third party mount)

Fuji have obviously listened to the critiques and responded quickly. I have just received my XF10 and I'm still learning about this camera. The shutter lag you speak about no longer exists... I can't say anymore about anything else because I am still learning this 'powerhouse' of a camera!

Been using for almost year now... For better AF... Higher auto - iso margins in aperture mode focus is better (plus power management high) work well

Thanks for a very thorough and candid review. I just got mine a few days ago and so far I like it, but we'll see as I try to do more with it. As for the AF hunting, I just go ahead and shoot. Most of the time it's right on. Even my micro 4/3 cameras blow the focus on occasion. I had a GR 2 earlier in the year and sold it because the exposure adjustment rocker switch was right where my thumb wanted to be and I was forever getting grossly underexposed (as much as 4 stops) pictures because the compensation had changed without my realizing it. Also, the GR 2 can. be impossible to use in certain lighting conditions because of the glare on the screen. That may be the case here, too. Don't know yet.

The GR2 has some issues for sure from what I heard. This little toy the XF10 is awesome in many respects and by the amount of messages I am getting about the AF being decent, I tend to believe mine was a lemon. I’ll probably get another one next year and give it another spin. Thanks for the nice words🙏🏼 and stick around if you can👍

Thanks for generally liking this camera, although your criticism of its autofocusing suggests you haven't updated the firmware - which I did a year ago. I'm out shooting in the streets almost daily and haven't missed a shot, although admittedly I'm using snapshot mode. But when I do use 'normal' autofocus it's still perfect. I love this little beast.

Unfortnately, I updated it to the last fw and it was still slow in acquiring focus, even in snapshot mode. It might be a lemon but I definitely enjoyed the form factor and its capabilities. It’s not for me but I am happy to see others take advantage of this little giant👍

@@CrisConstantin well it doesn’t “autofocus” in snapshot mode. I’ve had no trouble with AF on the street.

I don’t have the camera anymore. Like I mentioned in the video, I moved back to XE3 which for me is more reliable.

They use Bayer sensors because it's a cost cutting effort to keep the entry level cameras cheap.

I believe so, and I am also inclined to believe that they are dabbling with options in case they need an alternative to xtrans that delivers the same color and IQ performance. There is not a lot of difference between them but for Fuji sim lovers, is distinguishable👍

What if I shoot RAW with this and shoot RAW with my X-pro3... then use capture one fuji preset? 😉

Matching colors and other attributes won’t be so hard. It is actually easy based on Fujifilm profiles. But it needs a little bit of tweaking, ofc.😁

I actually did everything humanly possible to make it focus fast. The only thing that works was the snapshot feature. Thank anyway👍

not that sharp, Lens is worst one fuji makes,same one on the old X70 I used to have, also snapmode will not focus to infinity. Lens and fucusing is sub par, rest ofcamera good... not worth it

Yeah. Unfortunately except on the sharpness I agree. Mine was sharp as a razor. Comparable to 27mm f2.8

I’ve had three of these and they were razor sharp. Sounds like yours was defective.

Never been a huge fan of IS so that didn’t bother me much. It’s great to have but sometimes is just a feature that you pay for but totally useless in practice.
