This vide showcases a one day trip to the farm. We look at our first five baby calves of 2020, A Low water crossing on some land we lease, we work on a fence project on the leased land. We also provide an update on a previous video regarding box blading/Harrowing/applying rye grass. It was a full day to say the least.

Do you have an updated video showing how well (or not) the low water crossing has held up? Also, could they have left the culverts out to create water backup for cattle to drink from?

Hello, I’ll try to make an update video, but so far so good. It’s worked well. Most of the time the culvert is keeping the water flowing.

Calves look great. Nice crossing. We have a river crossing on one farm that's been getting more difficult for years. Thing is its two hundred feet from bank to bank or ten miles to drive around the road and when the water is deep you're going for a drive.

any idea the dimensions on that bridge and how many yards of concrete is in it? I have a very similar situation for creek crossing. thanks

Hello, I really don’t know the dimensions as it was built by my landlord on the rental prop. However, it was built right. There is a lot of concrete in it. I think it cost over $8k to have built with dirt work and everything.

@@HeritageFarmsTexas ...just wondering. My dirt work is already done with just the creek bed loose rock in there, all I need it the concrete with frame-up. Concrete here is about $150/yd. Maybe someday... Thanks!
