How times have changed over the last 3 years of watching, Phil the man that would get father Phil to fix everything and now Phil is out fixing things himself. Between fixing the wee massy and plenty of welding last year you'll soon be able to rebuild your tractors or implements while father Phil is keeping warm by the fire

I love seeing older, vintage or dormant machines being put back into action. There is something very satisfying about breathing new life into a tool and making it useful. Things that you own are all assets of the business, so when we let something just sit and let it decay, we are taking good numbers off of our balance sheets. The choice is really simple. Use it, fix it or sell it. Good job Farmer Phil and Father Phil.

That’s a great achievement getting the beet harvester running as you changed most of the important parts. Many years ago as a student in Gurteen I did greasing and small repairs on the one the college owned. It was a much older machine than yours with the valve chest in the cab rather than cables. I also don’t think it had the rotary carousel for cleaning on the back. It was well matched to the Fiat 80 90 if the weather was dry

Great job lad, I feel your pain lol I've been getting one a them ready for the field every year since 2000 but I love it, if she's going right you'll not go home, but if she's not you'll do anything but go to the field lol but it's better than a bad marage. Now you'll be surprised at your crop, I put that smart beet in the year for the first, drilled 15th May pulled it a week ago done 32/ac I reckon ish and we are further north here in Co Down Newry. Anyways keep up the good work 👏 and if ya encounter any problems with your puller don't hesitate to drop us a line only to Happy to help. The men I the South where only to Happy to help me when I first started so only but right I return the favour. Keep Paddy at the mixer.

Hello, farmer Phil. From across the pond, my question is, why the beet picker isn't stored in a shed or covered with a tarp to protect it from weathering, reducing the time of overhaul, & maintenance before it's next use?

Dear Tractor companies why don’t most of you find an old lorry Frame or even rebuild a brand New Lorry Frame for building stronger and better Tractors and put those Scania N113, Volvo B10M, Volvo D10A, Volvo TD102KF, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 8LXB Diesel engines for those stronger better Tractors so they can still use them for any farms and even lift a broken down Bigger Buses and even broken down Lorries, why don’t you build 6 and 7 seats so that other passengers can sit at the back and front including the driver. You can still build those four stronger medium sizes wheels and still make them even more farm tractor-like than it still was before, please can you do those interesting idea’s for us tractor Lovers.
