U.S. Map, Riverbend Springs! Game By: GIANTS Software.
With the release of the pre FarmCon24 stream (3rd July), we have a lot more information, stunning visuals from in-game (WIP) footage! What does it look like? What can we see? How much improvement is there? What about GPS?

Please bear in mind that this is all work in progress footage!
For some reason, I could only get it to play smoothly at 720!
I was sent the footage by GIANTS ‘pre Wednesday stream’, with no commentary, so at the time of recording, I have no real context for the footage.

I lost count of the times I said "Dude!" In a MrSealyP voice while watching this! I mean literally everything, the mist with the sun rays coming through the trees, the detail on the planting, how lush and higher quality the crops and grass looks and even the water. Not just looking better but dynamic ripples when driving through it too.. dude!! 😁

This is probably the sixth time watching this from different channels perspectives. The one thing that caught my eye was the grass on the field edge. It looks really good with a height variation that looks natural. I’ve always thought it would be cool for grass to become overgrown.

I can't wait, I actually sent feedback to Giants asking for Asian maps and rice planters about a year ago so I'm glad others had the same idea and Giants heard us.

Now waiting for modders to give us the rice planter and harvester in FS22 so I can use it with the ItalianRice map. That would be very nice to tide us over until FS25 is there.

I wish they would see what mud runner or snow runner have done with mud if it has been raining for along time and you get stuck with big ruts. Being fix your vehicles. Actual flats and other mechanical stuff. Real auctions to buying tractors equipment and animals and selling.

the state of Arkansas is a major producer of rice in the USA. but they plant their rice in dry fields. they flood their fields once the plant get to a certain height.

I love that people are focused on the crops new equipment and such. But how about the feeders that line the fence behind the harvester. Those are new fence and feeders, wonder if we can finally build our own animal pens. That would be huge! Stay focused on the bigger picture, for they are making great improvements; if that is one!

Dynamic ground is one thing. But with rice and growing it in water, the dynamic water is the much bigger step forward for me than the ground. Compare this water to the flat blue surface of FS22. These are lightyears apart

In the new FS25 video, I didn't see one thing: the circle of evil. eg. at 3:52. The crop in the distance looks to me a lot better than in FS22. But I may get proven wrong, when we get the first bird eyes view of a map.

I'm on the fence for getting 25. I feel that giants need to really add more to the game. Not just 3 or 4 maps and some new brand names. We have modders for that. Mr sealy you and others like you create game play loops that are fictional to add reason for doing xyz in the game. And you guys are great at it. But this is what giants should be doing. Setting up objectives, reasons for farming whatever. Beside money. There should be something like Corp. Contracts like we have with individual farmers in game. Say walmart will do a contract for 500k of carrots or potatoes. Or Costco wants 500k of steaks or milk. And to get these large contracts maybe you have to gain reputation points of your maps city by helping both the other farmers and the township itself. Like removing trash or cleaning up a rock mine. Or snow blowing roads in the winter. As your rep grows the bigger contracts open up and you will need to complete them in certain ways. If you don't u lose rep points. Ya know a reason to farm xyz in the game and not just from the imagination

Also their should be death penalties to livestock that aren't taking care of. Not just they won't produce. But they actually die if not fed or watered and your herd will get sick and die off

@@gtmddn I'd love to just see all your suggestions but also more realism like compaction, different cultivation techniques for different soil types etc. But you know they wont do any of that. FS is still essentially FS08 with better graphics.

@@ViolemAllum yes. This is pretty much what I'm saying. after all these years. It seems each new FS game is just more of the same. The same model. Make 3 or 4 maps. And add a couple new brands. And every other launch add something new like when they added livestock. And I blame it on the modders. It makes it all to easy for giants to Say. Why do we need to add that. Modders will do it. They will add deformation, they will add gps, they will add different crops, they will add all this additional content. And all we have to do is build a base game for them to mod. Problem is. I don't pay the modders the 50 60 or 70 bucks for the game. Or the extra money for the expansions. Even though I normally use somewhere around 30 to 40 mods most every map I play. And for most of the years I've only played modded maps.

I just noticed they have stars in the sky... It's the American map.. there is wet and dry rice and you can use the ferry. And as djgoham pointed out there is a ghost 👻...... If you look closely you can see an orb floating across the screen 😂

I watched the live stream reveal and the chat was, as expected, full of haters but there does look like a lot of nice looking things in fs25. I just hope it all translates over to the consoles 🤞

it likely won't look nearly as good on consoles as in this showcase. this is just a modified version of the same engine

I had to laugh when watching the live reveal stream when they gushed over how good the 'creek' looked on the new map. clearly they have not played Snow runner, as the water texture in that is great on a console, and many other games have great nature effects so it shouldnt be that difficult for them to make this possible.

I'm not sold on FS25 yet, but I would remind those that are upset by the graphics that this isn't a final build yet, and all previous versions have improved between the first gameplay clips and the final release. For me, the graphics are fine as they are: I'm looking for some better gameplay for console. I mostly play with livestock farms and livestock is one of the poorest parts of the game at the moment, with the PC game and mods often required to improve it.. Maps like Ballyspring improve animals fundementally, showing what can already be done without code changes. But Giants could do so much better.

I'd be surprised if there isn't an overhaul of the livestock system. If it isn't in base game perhaps they will add it to the expansion the following winter.

@bucketmcpretty9786 I was hoping for that with FS19, and I kind of got it when they added code so that Seasons could be rolled out on console. I hoped they would build on things in FS22, but they went backwards in my opinion. I hoped for DLC, and nothing. Ballyspring came out and it was a massive improvement, but still poor really. I guess I've given up hoping for something they seem to have no interest in delivering. The best animals have gotten in still FS19 with Seasons, which is fun if still not perfect.

there was never a change in graphics between the pre release videos and the release version of any of the games, you can use KZfaq to see that for yourself. they aren't suddenly gonna add new graphics capabilities to their ancient engine in a couple months. what you're seeing here is what the game is gonna look like, and this is likely with maxed out ultra settings.

Looks like the first one will hold about 1000l and the bigger one is about 19200. Just looking as it was harvesting the % at the bottom right and then doing the math

the mod likely won't come to consoles just because of the nature of having to run scripts, but something similar _could_ be integrated into the base game that would be _VERY_ hopeful though, and we'd have to wait on word from giants about that

I'm not a fan of the water graphics. Sure there's a slight ripple effect animated but it looks completely fake otherwise. Zero white water or splashing effect animated at all. Seems like the devs were very lazy and a huge step backwards for immersion in my opinion. Other then that the game is looking great.

Why are people saying about stars in the sky has there not always been star in fs ? I know there was in fs17 and there was also fog wind and regular rain fall.
