The fastest time to change all four wheels on a road car is 59.62 sec, and was achieved by kfzteile24 (Germany) at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz in Klettwitz, Brandenburg, Germany, on 31 May 2015.
Marco Herzlieb, Denis Werner, Gordon Neumann and Florian Walkenhorst were the four kfzteile24 mechanics selected to take part in this record attempt, held before the start of the DTM race at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz.

***** I used to be a tyre fitter and it's a piece of piss with steel wheels like this. They should try doing it with alloy wheels that have locking wheel nuts seized on. Also, they already had the jacks underneath and only used two.

***** The use of alloy wheels is mainly heat distribution; alloys disperse heat quicker. So for rally cars they are better (intense braking causing a lot of heat).

well in my experience i have learn that being a mechanic it doesnt mean u have to be fast ... the whole meaning is that u have to do the job right regardless how much time u need

How tightly do the wheels have to be for the record to be valid?

I think its 90 nm of torque, but that's because that's the manufacturer's recommended tightness

ALC0LITE that's only 66 ft lbs of torque, should be around 100ft lbs of torque.

Josh Bothwell No it shouldn't, various threads and various wheels require various torque settings. The 3/8 thread on a Morris Minor has a recommended torque setting of between 37 and 39ft/lb whereas the VW Toureg is almost 100ft/lb more than that.

я думал секунд за 10 сменят а они целую минуту в четвером меняли ещё и домкраты под машиной оставили так что она не может начинать ехать.Чего тут быстрого не понятно а это ещё и рекорда какой то.Наверное этот "рекорд Гинеса" можно так назвать "самая быстрая смена колёс в мире в оранжевых футболках"

I watch f1 who change tyres less than 2 second, i watch nascar who changes tyres lightning speed. But both of them has two things in common, Power tools and multiple men each wheel. SO PLEASE DO NOT COMPARE THEM To these talented men.

What about mount and dismounting the tire and balancing? I am going to post a video tomorrow of me and a co worker doing it from lifting the car dismount of rim and all skin come check it out it's going to be fast
