Im a service tech at discount tire, I am seeing very many mistakes here. You dropped the tire on its face multiple times, you didn't let the wheel spin after applying needed weights, you snap torqued like crazy, and you didn't do a torque check. You do realize people's lives are in our hands when we are servicing their car/tires. You must do a quality job and not just care about time. Time is not as important as making sure the customer is safe in their automobile.

Jacob McCurry I guess that's the difference between a tire guy and a mechanic. The tire guys have to rush to make18$ an hour so they are hacks. he’s not over torquing it. He’s using a torque wrench, it makes a click when it’s brought to spec. 100ft/lbs takes more muscle than tightening your carburetor jets. The “jerk” gives him the torque needed to do the job. the biggest safety aspect I see is no cage for inflation.

Okay you did it fast, but you also did it wrong! After the tires were aired up and then the valve stems were put in the tires the tires the tire pressure was not checked again to ensure pressure was still at proper level and after the tires were balanced and the weights added the balance was not double checked. It is good to be fast customers like fast in and out. But never sacrifice. A proper installation with double checking everything is done correctly is key! A improper tire installation can cause a serious accident and even possible death. If I had been standing there and saw that in my garage I would have made my guys take all the tires off and double check the pressure and the balance then put them back on before allowing the customer to leave with their car.

Impressive. The only things I would have a question or doubt about are: 1. Air pressure was not double checked after the valve cores were replaced (this is best practices). 2. Balancing was not double checked (re-balancing also is best practice to ensure that the proper weight was added and that it was added on the correct location). 3. The lack of care in handling -- actually, throwing -- the torque wrench may adversely affect its calibration. I would not feel confident that the lug nuts are tightened to specs.

Gewichte bis 30gr pro Seite, wenn natürlich genau auf 12 Uhr angeschlagen , enden immer bei 0-5 gr unter Berücksichtigung der Spanntoleranz von 5-10gr liegt das also alles im Rahmen.

@shadowthehedgehog47374 жыл бұрын
@@phalspar duallies are different. They have to be put on the machine with the offset up, meaning the outside tires are done upside down. This has to be kept in mind with asymmetrical tires or white lettering. Truck tires are also harder to mount and balance because it's at least a ten ply tire. Also there's the obvious fact that there are six tires rather than four. Trucks are heavier and require heavier lifts. They aren't difficult, but they are certainly more difficult than tiny tires on 14" wheels.
@johndeereman33633 жыл бұрын

Definitely not a world record. When I was busting tires, me and my buddy started the clock when one of us yelled to the other what tires to pull and record DOT#s for as we were getting into the car to drive it to the lift and didn't stop the clock till the car was back in the parking lot. 4 minutes:47 seconds; Four new tires and stems, mounted, balanced and washed. We'd only do it for people who challenged us with a case or beer to do it in less than 5 minutes and who didn't mind a little aggressive driving in their cars. It was kind of a show management encouraged us to put on. There's just no way these 'modern' machines could keep up with a Coates 2020 in good repair and fitted with an air blast ring. That's why it so utterly irks me when I have to go into a shop, these days and wait around for over an hour (AFTER they put the car on the lift).
