Tried this smoothie 4 days ago and been taking it every morning, lost 7 lbs already thank you so much! Oh and it’s delicious!!

1c. spinach leaves (about a handful) 1small grapefruit (or half a large) 1c. brewed green tea 1 stalk celery Pinch of fresh mint 1c. pineapple 1/4 avocado Optional: dash of cayenne pepper to garnish

Hi Jen, I just recently downloaded your 7 Smoothie Recipe (to try to replace my everyday morning coffee) so, thank you! As for weight loss or maintenance, calories matter so I calculated them. These are my estimates for this video recipe: 1 cup of spinach - 40 1 cup of grapefruit - 100 1 cup of pineapple - 80 1/4 avocado - 55 1 stalk celery - 0 mint green tea total estimated calories: 275 Thank you for the recipe!

I think grapefruit would be good in there but if you don't like it, try adding some ginger. It masks everything. When I add seaweed to my smoothie, I do that and it works.

Just tried this smoothie today and I think my grapefruit was too big even though I like it, it was very overpowering over the other ingredients. Thanks for sharing will try it again and half my grapefruit 😀

Just I want to say thank you for this recipe, because after I tried it, I can’t drink other smoothie !! Fresh, bitter, I love it . For summer the best smoothie ever !! And I can’t eat so much other thing, because of the smoothie is bitter . I started to lose my weight ! 🙏🏻♥️

Simple Green Smoothies this smoothie really awesome !!! My basic was always: spinich apple and banana. Banana because of creamy . But I didn’t like so much that smoothie because too sweet . You saved my life with avocado idea!! More creamy and not sweet, I don’t need to use banana. Thank you !!

Made this smoothie today and it tastes great! Super happy although went a little overboard with the cayenne pepper woops! Mine made about 700ml is this normal? Or should i turn it into 2 drinks?

Glad you liked it! Most of our recipes make about 2 cups or 475ml per serving. If you ended up with more, you could def turn it into a drink and a half or two smaller drinks!

Ii tried this smoothie. I am addicted to it. refreshing, cleansing, love the taste. ( i did use TB of flax seed instead of avocado, couldnt find one at store I went to) but its fantastic.. thank you!

Hi! I don't care for green tea, but I want the benefits of green tea. So I have been dumping my organic tea bags into smoothies and salads. Also, try adding green tea leaves to you cream cheese. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

I have under active thyroid disease and i did this with some extra in with it and in 4 days ive can fasten my button on my shorts now and I have it as a meal . And i also have my normal meals as well in the day time. So it does works thank you for this video its been very helpful. 👍🍍🍓🍒🥑🍋😋

I love the tip about eating nuts a half hour later. I'm not a fan of protein powder, I found one I could tolerate - but I don't love it. This is a great way for me to get that protein but be able to enjoy the different smoothies you suggest and their unique flavors!!! Thank you!!!

I was surprised I thought for sure with all these ingredients it might not taste too good, but it was actually really nice and I could drink the whole thing. My Sister now likes it to. If you are normally awake during that time I would say yes. This smoothie will give you a boost of energy so make sure to only consume when you need that extra energy!

Can i add Chia seeds to it? And what is they best way to approach drinking green smoothies? Do i drink them for 3 meals as a replacement?

You can def add chia seeds! Many of us like to drink a smoothie for breakfast. Some folks drink a smoothie for breakfast + lunch or breakfast + dinner. I wouldn't recommend drinking a smoothie for all three meals though, unless you have some good snacks on hand for when the hangries hit. 😄

So this smoothie is suppose to taste bitter? Just want to make sure I made it correctly. A little watery maybe because of the tea and I put ice because my pineapple was not frozen. Will do again. Thanks for the video!

Will you still get as much nutrients as you should if you substitute the avocado for a banana? Asking cause I can't stand the taste of avocado or should I suck it up 😣

Lungelo, you'll get many of the same benefits but not the exact same. Avocados are some of the best things for healthy fats and bananas have a lot of natural sugars so for the purposes of this smoothie, you might want to give avocados a try. I really think the grapefruit, mint, and pineapple will be the flavors that stand out and you might not taste the avocado at all. Try it at least once, who knows... you might love it!

a good thing to note... some people cannot have grapefruit while taking certain medication. sounds good though! question, what would you switch the pineapple for as i cannot have it.

Hi Jennifer! There is no specific time you should drink your smoothies. Some folks drink their smoothies with or for breakfast and some as lunch or as a snack. It really depends on what's going to work for your schedule. 🙂

Vitamix is behind the times and still in the 1990s because they still don't have a vacuum attachment or a vacuum system to prevent oxidation and retain all the nutrients. Get with the program Vitamix!!!

Hi Karan! Yes, you could for sure add nuts or seeds if you like. Flax seeds or almonds are good, I might also suggest chia seeds, cashews, or hemp hearts. Just remember that adding additional ingredients may change the taste of the smoothie!

Stacy, you can buy fresh pineapple and freeze it. If you can't find fresh pineapple, you can sub an orange or peach.

Would there be any other thing to replace the pineapple with? My doctor told me to stay away from Pineapple, mangos and bananas. Or can I just leave pineapple out in general?
