well a few time him cant slay with her as the place will not allow him i believe him at one of hell gate a place god make it basic a lock that keep evil from coming out in the world no evil can leave but sadly you only need to think of youself as evil to be trap there or have a demon in your body basic the only way out is two one is forgiven from god and two the door way to hell one god forgiven and you free to live on earth but number two is death and going to hell... the hell gate is not hell but a gate connect to hell and block it from coming into earth but hey if demon take over you then you are forgiven but you cant leave until the demon out of your body but lucky the place will keep people safe so if the demon leave the body to take over a different body it will stop it and i guesting this why this place was a tower it was a place where people get lock up if they believe to be control by demon if you leave you are innocent but if never leave then you are going to hell or never leaving him was not too evil so him likely not going to hell but will slay in that place basic a nightmare to show him that of him sin

So Theo IS Stenson which is why the plot plays out like this. He was the shadow the entire time, he was the ghost, he left the message for himself... He keeps reliving his last moments without as a ghost who sets his daughter free while at the same time this loop keeps haunting the residents who actually come to rent the house(if any ever came that is).

The true its about the house past, its a trap, and the MC its the One the house choose, its not the person who choose, but the house. In the final he become part of the house like Many others before him. While he didnt accept his destiny, his family would never be free from the house, so the ghost its him That allready accept his destiny make him accept it to his family be free, because the house want him and not his family

No, I think visitors who have sinned and won't repent are haunted by their own past, not by Theo's past. Susanna feels the unusualness of the house but doesn't get haunted because she supposedly repents for her supposed sin. It depends. Falling in love in or out of marriage isn't a sin according to me, murder is. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Funnily enough, if this movie took place in an alternate timeline I've been playing with, well, depending on how bad it gets, you start at 'FBI's/equivalent paranormal division shows up to tell the paranormal who set up shop to knock it off' as the 'best case' scenario to 'aforementioned FBI/equivalent calls in the big guns and the current Big Fire shows up and starts making the paranormal entity an example'. If the latter happens, well, depending on how the entity decides to play, it might mean the environment gets some redecorating... or [insert divine entity here] forbid that it becomes another Amarillo, Texas incident.

lol I have the same exact prop pipe from 11:54 I have used it in 2 of my feature films now, and I named it Fred. It's actually a great prop bought from a really good prop house, but more affordable so I have only seen it in other indie films. I am sure Kevin Bacon enjoyed swinging it.
