Nicely shaved. I remember when those soaps came to market and thought they were asking customers to try a significantly overpriced product.

What's the grind on your straights? How would you describe your stubble? Fine, average, coarse.

The one I used today is extra hollow. I've got a few different ones though, up to a full wedge. Coarse hairs.

@@jonathandavis2419 I was curious as I too have coarse stubble and have found that an extra full hollow is what I prefer overall. I seem to get my best shaves with them.

@obeconoberougle9497 I don't know that I've established a preference yet. The full wedge was interesting, felt completely different and was super quiet.

@@jonathandavis2419 I don't have a full or true wedge myself. I do have a 15/16 and 5/8 near wedge though and two 6/8 half hollows. The lack of auditory feedback they provide isn't as satisfying to me compared to a full or extra full hollow. The various wedge grinds and even a half hollow is supposed to tackle tough stubble better according to what I've read. But those are recommendations and don't always pan out. That's why any straight shaver should try various grinds to discover what works best for them. I like all the grind options. But the blade flexibility of a full and extra full really allows them to follow the contours of the face so nicely. Just like with DE blades, it's also a YMMV issue with the grinds. I didn't realize that when I started with straight razors. 🤣
