In this video we review the new 8.6 Blackout Sentinel 16" from Faxon Firearms. Being such a new gun, is it sensational or suspect? Only time will tell.

The ejection pattern certainly does look erratic, makes me wonder just how consistent that Gorilla ammunition is round to round.

Not at all right. We still feel it's about 75% on the ammo, but Faxon dropped the ball, making it for supersonic yet not adding a gas system. We're actually adding one this week and should have a follow-up soon. Good to hear from you again, DarkStar.

In the “ process “ of building this on the AR-10 platform with can. This round is definitely a great combination of low recoil and heavy projectile, with surprising accuracy.

Retired Military Chief Warrant Officer 4. (32.+ Years) Army Ranger Sniper Advancing Onto Tier 1 JSOC 18 Delta Force (CAG) Outstanding Footage & Stats. I Have Two Of These 8.6 In Faxons. I Use BANISH & CGS Suppressors Only. I Tell People If You See Suppressors That Have Welds? Keep Looking For Quality Suppressors. I Run Schmidt & Bender & Torric Scopes. I’ve Never Had Any Issues With The 8.6 With Coefficient Ammo & Changing Out Buffer. Appreciate You. Keep It Coming.

My Bad. I Use A Bolt Action Chassis In 8.6 Blackout. My Buffer & Spring Changes I Did Was To My Four Wilson Combat In .300 Hammer. I’m Getting Ditching The 8.6’s Because The .300 Hammer Shames The 8.6 Blackout In So Many Areas. Keep It Coming. However I Have SF Operators That Believes These Faxons 8.6 Will Go Away For Good & Stay Away.

I had issues with gorilla ammo too. Even their 300 blackout I had 50/50 that had bad primers and wouldn’t even fire. I won’t be using gorilla anymore after buying their 8.6 and 300 BO... not impressed. Nice packaging, nice people, but performance wasn’t what I was expecting for the price.
