*STOEGER of course* Both pistols are produced in my country, Turkiye. I tested both too. In terms of material quality, I think Stoeger STR9 is clearly ahead. Stoeger STR9 is ahead in terms of shooting pleasure. Only Canik's appearance is more beautiful. Stoeger STR9 has a safe-action structure, in this sense it is safer.

These are both great guns for sure and so close it was actually hard to decide. Turkey is making some great guns - CANIKS, Stoeger, SAR . . . .

Glock and 1911 will beat out all, in my opinion, because they have all the after-market parts and you can find the mags everywhere. This is especially important when you live in a communist state.

In regards to the trigger only, is the sfx pro price for the flat face trigger worth it or is the sfx just as good?
@mwmag3 сағат бұрын
They are both great guns. And our response is completely personal, so take that for what it is - can't go wrong with either but the Mete Pro is different. If budget is not an issue, go for the RPO. Otherwise you will be happy with either for sure.

Thank you glock for the striker fire reliability but your patent ran out. Now it means nothing any more. Through the years, only 'slight' variations but CANiK made a much safer Double Action striker that you never made. All Hail CANiK!
@mwmagКүн бұрын
Lol. Canik is awesome.
@user-nh5kf2jg8dКүн бұрын
How can you take points away from canik for the first trigger pull of double action by comparing it to the second trigger pull at single action when glock has no double action? The Canik DA can do every thing the glock can for more value but the glock can not do everything the Canik can but cost more money. RIP glock
@mwmagКүн бұрын
Given the option between the 2, I'll take Canik everytime. Over the last few years, Canik has over taken Glock in my opinion.

I have an STR-9 (regular model), a Canik Mete SFT, and an M&P Competitor. Still waiting on my Rival S to arrive (6 months and counting). No question the Canik trigger dominates. The Competitor feels great, and muzzle flip is less than the SFT. Probably because the Competitor slide has aggressive slide lightening cuts, and the Mete needs them. The Competitor trigger is heavier than the Canik and has a lot of take-up. But I'm learning to like it because I can ride that trigger w/o fear of an AD. As for the Stoeger...I bought a G19 trigger weight reducing spring kit. It included multiple springs, but I installed only the striker spring from the Glock kit into the slide of my STR9. I'm not trying to make the STR9 a competition gun. The reduced power striker spring made a very noticeable difference. I now have a much better Stoeger trigger. Canik triggers still rule, but that's to be expected. You should try the G19 springs on your 9S Combat and let us know if it works.

I bought one of these several years ago when they came out and I didn't like it. The stupid plastic inserts in the serrations broke off after one class, the ambi slide release had way too much flex to be usable, the pistol shot way low compared to all of my other pistols and I just thought it felt very cheap in the hand. There is a perceptible difference in quality between the vp9 and the p30 or USP. I got rid of it after a year of trying to get along with it. Maybe my example was a bad one but it was one of my least favorite pistols I've bought in the last decade
@mwmag4 күн бұрын
You said several years ago? Could be that it changed bc there is no plastic on mine and it's a quality gun. Sorry you had a bad situation like that. If you get a chance to try a new on definitely try it. Would love to know if it's better?

Outstanding Video to say First. I just discovered your channel, am a pistol & rifle owner, as well as a shooter at my local range. Have been looking at all the Caniks you just reviewed because I am looking at purchasing one soon, but only at a good price. I want to Thank You Guys so much for explaining everything to me in a clear and precise manner. I have been looking primarily at the SFT and SFX, but recently been looking at the whooping expensive (for me anyway) TTI Combat. I think I have made my decision now, and this video made my mind up.

I have a Tikka CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor and the accuracy is similar to the TAC A1. I think the major difference between the two is the stock. The TAC A-1 has a chassis and the CTR has plastic stock. That said, you can get a 24" Stainless CTR for ~$1,150, so it might be worth it to buy a CTR and upgrade to a chassis of your choosing instead of getting the TAC A1. The ~$1,000 price difference could buy you a really high end chassis. P.S. When you say the 300 yard targets are 0.5 inch MOA and 0.75 inch MOA, are the groups 0.5 in and 0.75 or 0.5 MOA and 0.75 MOA? 1 MOA is ~1 inch at 100 yards but ~3 inches at 300 yards.
@mwmag4 күн бұрын
Sorry. Sho I ld have been more clear about that. .05 a d 0.75 inch, not moa. Crazy huh?
@michaelhill64514 күн бұрын
@@mwmag That is crazy. I’m not surprised though. Tikka makes a hell of a rifle. With a rifle that accurate you almost feel guilty shooting it because you're putting wear on the barrel.

It's a simple process. From the 1st to the most recent Canik. They are all too thick, too heavy and too bulky. A good good trigger is not enough!
@mwmag4 күн бұрын
Wouldn't it depend on the size of your hand? It might feel too thick to you but not to others. It's a personal feeling per individual.

I was going through handguns just buying and selling to make a few bucks. This was the first gun that out of the case made me think, this is a well made gun. I wasn't a fan of striker fired pistols and didn't like that there was no safety. From a mechanical standpoint, the factory trigger was light years ahead of Glock g17 and g19. The tactical gave slide plates for different optics and the adjustable grip was perfect. Never had a malfunction and it was a decent size and weight. It felt good in your hand and I always tell people how good it was.
