The Dazai betrayal is extra harsh here. Like they didn't feel like just acquaintances in this story.

It was painful but at the same time ironic. Yuzuru was kind of the reason why Dazai got this fucked up, as he went off on Dazai for not being a hero even though he took this mission. They were FRIENDS, the scene where the 3 boys hugged in the room hurts to watch in retrospect

So Koshimizu is a Proto-Fiend and not the actual Tsukuyomi? This definitely adds context to his story arc in the original as the Amatsukami are actually gone after the Tokyo incident.

One of the Bethel researchers in modern day Tokyo states that most of the myriad gods of Japan have been slain during the 20 years war (Armageddon). What remains are "soul bits" that are represented by the Proto-fiends instead.

In the original, Dazai and Abidel’s whole goal seemed just a little bit understandable. Even when the MC allows the myriad gods to gain their Knowledge, they’re disheartened by the conflict the world experiences, thus the Law ending is just as valid as the Chaos. Hell, even in the original, Dazai at least tried to explain his POV. Now it’s just straight up evil because Dazai actively screws over his friends-actual friends this time-and is cruel for the sake of being cruel. I personally enjoy it, but man, it felt like a total gut punch.

Tbh, when you look at the broader picture of what aogami mentioned how demons can influence humans, I’m not surprised why Dazai turned out like that. That isn’t even scratching the surface since Mastema also manipulated him and wanted him to become a Nahobino to re-create the world. It makes much more sense in Vengeance this time around.

I also feel like Mastema is one of the people at the beginning trying to dissuade you. He prefers you to follow Canon of Creation hence why he gets involved in Chaos Path of Vengeance and he manipulated Dazai to force Dazai to become similar to his Creation Counterpart

At first,there was Tiamat,and then came the Horned God that defeated Tiamat,after the war,the throne was usurped by the descendants of that Horned God. Personal Thoughts: 1.According to Enuma Elish,Tiamat gave birth to a lot of gods with Apsu. I wonder if Apsu existed in this continuity. 2.From my point of view,it seemed that this serpent/dragon slaying event might predate other “Kings” ? Earlier than YHVH,earlier than Baal,even earlier than Ra ? 3. So far,we only know 3 gods that once were “Kings”. Ra,Baal,and YHVH. While Baal and YHVH might fit in the Horned God archetype,as Baal mentioned “The Lineage of Bull God” in his own subquest,YHVH/Yahweh on the other hand,was believed by some scholars that he was once a storm and war deity when Hebrews were still polytheistic. Some even speculated that Yahweh might be portrayed as a bovine god at that time. However,is Ra also considered “Descendants of Horned God” according to Lilith’s statement ? Ra’s symbol was mainly eagle/falcon,but he too had a dragon/slaying myth in which he had to battle and conquer Apep/Apophis every night,and if we are talking about Amun-Ra,Amun,the god that identified with Ra,used ram-headed Sphinx (Criosphinx) as his symbol,and that Amun-Ra was later identified with Zeus,who was classified as a bull god/horned god in this continuity.

@@FazPersona I couldn't make the exact team you had since I was lvl 47, so I ended up making a knock off version using Muu Shuwuu, Hayataro, and Idun which still worked just fine lol

An interesting detail I noticed at 24:36 and onwards, the humanoid upper body is not actually attached to the snake-like body, it is bound there in intertwing horns, you can see the legs on both sides of the middle head. In addition, the lack of arms on a figure is usually a metaphor for helplessness or powerlessness, implying that the female body is forced to be there.

You were somewhat close. Haikus have a 5-7-5 syllable structure. Yours had a 3-5-3 syllable structure. I do agree that they could have done something better than the win the fight, lose in the cutscene.

Yes, you can fused them. Naamah = Glasya-Labolas (You need Dormarth, Anzu and Macabre to gets Glasya-Labolas) + Succubus + Dominion Eisheth = Mitra + Loki + Forneus Agrat = Seth + Efreet + Queen Medb Lilith = Cherub + Cybele + Lamia + Lilim

To anyone who, like me, struggled with this fight, here’s a trick I learnt in my 4th, and successful attempt. Before they go for the Quidistu entropy skill get one member low on hp. Then when they charge, defeat them, and when Naamah goes for it the skill will fail and their turn will end

That's clever, but a well optimized team wouldn't really suffer all that much from the entropy skill. It's the revival of the members that extends the fight and thus makes it more dangerous.

The real important thing is to kill of snake lady. The fight ends when Lilith is "killed."

@@gotinogadenfair point, but I had a support avatar build with a strategy that focused more on outlasting the opponent and slowly whittling them down with the occasional Friekugl ex to deal big damage. Something this fight punishes. So this was necessary for me though it may not be for others running more offensive sets

I curious about the new endings in the Vengeance route, are they considered to be Law and Chaos ? Or it's going to be like IV Apocalypse where they are just 2 different versions of Neutral

Probably 3 instead of 4 in the Creation Route since that additional ending is alternate take on the neutral ending

You unlock him after doing either then Anansi or Onyankopon quest in Shinjuku

Clear two side quests with Onyakopon and Anansi. In Shinjuku you have alignment choice, for who you side. Law route is Onyakopon, when you must beat Anansi, Chaos route is Anansi, when you must beat Onyakopon. Similar side quest with Kresnik and Kudlak (Kresnik is Law pick, Kudlak is Chaos). Onyakopon and Kresnik are far better demons than Anansi and Kudlak, so i recommend Law route for both side quests.

Just kill in first turn Agrat, and start spamming Tetrakarn. If Lilith summon again Agrat, repeat this process. Don't kill Eisheth this is important, focus on Lilith and Agrat.

This fight kicked my ass because I thought you had to kill all of them. Had I known it was only Lilith that had to get taken down, I would have approached this wayyy differently💀😭

When I am fighting them with almost the same setup, they hit wayyyy harder and dont attack my mc but do crazy stuff. Why is it like that? Does myc have the wrong affinities?

I beat them in hard and they were EXTRA HARD had to use all my somas. I was not prepared so had to cheese lilith slowly and baiting with tetrakarn

Yeah, you need cheese this fight with Tetrakarn. First kill ASAP Agrat, then spam tetrakarn (second turn is always Eisheth who have only physical moves). Without that strategy this battle is long and hard.

Bro I knew this fight wasn't hard but I think a rest of my demons were kinda underleveled and also had very bad luck with the charm... I spent almonst 1.5 hours in this...

It felt a bit underwhelming when you realize that you’re not technically fighting all four of them because Lilith is the only one that you need to defeat to win the whole thing and she literally had nothing but support skills. And for some reason, they all have quite low Vitality so someone like Naamah or Agrat become total jokes and just one of them gone from the fight makes things a lot easier to deal with. Of course, things become difficult when you go into the virtual trainer and face them at Lvl 100, things do get tough there. 😭

I still don't get Dazai's heel turn. It was random in the original and it's just as random in Vengeance! He was just acting goofy and flopping his legs around in the scene with Mastema, and now he's a mustache-twirling villain! It's complete tonal whiplash!

Japanese culture is very suspicious of any religion that overwrites the existing japanese cultural code of conduct. Doubly so when such a religion proselytizes and boldly says their way is the objectively correct way. The culture of secular polite groupism is their norm, and Japanese society doesn't look favorably on people with different beliefs from the Japanese norm. Even today, Japanese Christians are viewed as weirdos and pariahs in japanese society.
