For the second time in a five-month span, the FBI and other law enforcement were seen searching farms in New York, digging for possible buried bodies as part of an ongoing investigation into the Gambino crime family.

The soil is very acidic and even bone breaks down and decomposes in the soil very rapidly, especially in farming areas . My friend is an archeology major and works for a survey company and explained to me why so few native American remains have been found in the upstate NY area. The intact Mastodon Skeleton was found in Hyde Park Ny because it was protected by a pocket of stone. Depending on when human remains were buried there may be nothing left. I do hope the families of the departed missing persons get some closure and find their loved ones remains.

Exactly, they used the same crematorium the city utilizes for their john Does, and many were tossed in those city unmarked graves, Hart Island cemetery , paupers' grave Potters field, my uncle used to work there by those dates, my uncle said that that was the reason that they'd rather die in a shootout with cops before getting locked up, because from prison that was the final stop., I think it still managed by the corrections department.
