Jared Spool started working in the field of Usability in 1978, before the term UX was ever associated with computers. A true pioneer in the business, he founded UIE, User Interface Engineering, and is a much-appreciated speaker and author. Jared’s talk at our conference in 2018 was one of the most appreciated in FBTB history.

In recent years, the practice of UX has witnessed a fair amount of success. Organizations now see it as a meaningful and powerful way to create value in their products and services.
This success comes with a price. As UX leaders, we are now expected to deliver even more value to the organization.
However, the tools and practices we have are reaching their upper limit. We must move away from our tactical success and become far more strategic than we ever have been before.
Jared will show how outcome-driven UX strategy is an essential next step for today’s UX leader. We need to prepare our entire field to start working at a senior organizational level.
