I like his comment about the lifetime fluids being a marketing lie. I heard somewhere that's the term "lifetime" is really only tied to how long your warranty is. You have a 60k mile powertrain warranty, then the fluid will last the "lifetime" of the powertrain. Dirty...

In bmw case with the ZF6hp ZF asked BMW not to put a label sticker in the trans that says "lifetime fluid" but BMW did not want to train dealer techs or pay for fluid changes as it was $370 of fluid every 60k. So like every zf6hp i work on has worn out bushings due to old dirty fluid.

I have a Nissan Rogue and you wouldn't believe how delusional some of the owners of those are expecting to get 100,000 miles without changing the fluid. If anything do it every 30,000 miles or sooner and don't try to put it off for so long. You will be glad you did it sooner when you are not stranded somewhere in the middle of nowhere at the worst possible time imaginable. If you don't think that can happen to you, you must be having good luck for the most part. Other people have horrible luck and those things happen to them all the time. Maybe I should let my black cat Jinx live with them for a week or so LOL!!

Not dirtt at all. Everybody should know that after warranty manufacturer doesnt give a shit how long you will drive the car and do your oil changes. If somebody really was thinking that trans is still good after 200k miles and 15 years with original oil from a factory as an idiot

I have KIA with 6 speed automatic requiring Hyunday SP4 (slow, torque converter one) which one should I buy ATF1200 or ATF1800? He pointed at 1200 for older 4-5 speed automatics, but mine is older 6 speed.

Is top tech atf 1400 will perform well with Toyota corolla cvt sealed transmission. As u know we add 2.5l then flush then add another 2.5l then flush then addthe last 2.5l and adjust level.coz u say it shouldn't mix

I have been seeing the Top Tec 1400 in some stores. How does it compare to other CVT fluids? Is this OK for a Nissan that needs NS3 fluid? I used to own a Volkswagen and so I know that Liqui Moly is a really good brand of oil. Depending on where you look for the Top Tec 1400 it can be as expensive as the stuff from the dealer too but is often less expensive.

They say its suitable for use but i highly doubt that. Just compare the kinematic viscosities at 40°C and at 100°C and it's way of the chart. Ns3 is extremely thin fluid comared to toptech 1400. I dont seem to agree thats it whould be suitable for use for jatco gears requiring ns3 fluids

Hi Auto Fanatic Asia, you want to avoid Ceratec in components that use wet clutches/clutch packs to operate as the whole idea of Ceratec is to lessen friction within those surfaces.

That is gear oil used in your front or rear differential not manual transmission. Most manual transmissions take ATF. Dextron III. Look in your service manual for exact specs.

Hi, my car uses 4 speed AT transmission and requires the Mitsubishi SP-III spec and if I'm not mistaken the only Liqui Moly ATF that has that spec is theTop Tec 1400, which is for the CVT, is it okay to use that on my car?

Hi Mohammad, the best thing to do is use the fitment guide on FCPEuro.com before purchasing. You may need to cross reference with sources online as we did not get the 320D model for the E90, just the 330D.
