FDNY Engine 63 and Tiller Ladder 39 respond to an MVA

9 жыл бұрынWe are in quarters of FDNY Engine 63, Tiller Ladder 39, and Battalion 15 at 755 East 233rd Street at Barnes Avenue, where we see Engine 63 and Ladder 39 as they go on a run for an MVA with no injuries at Nereid Avenue and Grace Avenue. When the companies got there, there was no accident to be found, possibly due to a wrong address. From there, they went 10-8 and returned to quarters. Engine 63 is a 2009 Seagrave Marauder II, whilst Ladder 39 is a 2013 Seagrave with a 100 foot tractor drawn tiller aerial. Enjoy the sight of the two rigs as they go out on the run. +Bob Barr Yes. It's for the rigs. Every firehouse in the City has it set up like this.

+FL92002 That's seems dangerous (fuel spill, fire). Is the hose long enough that they at least fuel the trucks outside? I realize it is probably diesel and not gasoline, but still.

+Bob Barr When a rig gets fueled, it gets placed most of the way outdoors. Usually the only part of the rig that is still inside is from the rear tire to the tail of the rig.

Why would they send a Tiller Ladder to a MVA? I can understand from a manpower standpoint, but surely an Engine and ambulance would make more sense.
