While at the quarters of Squad 41, Bronx FAO transmitted box 2421 for a reported house fire on Manida St in Hunts Point. While responding, the first due companies reported smoke from a distance, and calls began coming in for people trapped. Subsequently the box was loaded, adding Rescue 3 and Squad 41 along with an additional engine and FAST truck. As they were heading out the door Engine 94 transmitted the 10-75 (as can be heard in the audio), and Battalion 3 gave a quick 2nd alarm.
