In 2016 I went to a frat party with ugly god at his old mansion in Austin. It’s a frat house now and every year they’d buy brand new speaker equipment and leave it out in the rain to get ruined.

How does this relate to the video. Stupid

Interesting clip on more than one level but the erroneous video title is, in this case, disrespectful. It had nothing to do with elections.

Was FDR just dissing the GOP in general then? Or did he say these criticisms for the reason at all? If it wasn’t about an upcoming election can you explain what his motivations were? Thanks ✌️

@@kerryn6714 As I see it (of course), it was (and perhaps is) a foundational statement. The first and perhaps most important layer is that of social security. Most important because that is where and how government policy impacts on the general population. It then touches on methods and the difference between the Democrats and the Republicans/Grand Old Party (GOP, although there are way too many acronyms in the world). Where the title of the video here may be correct is that Franklin Roosevelt was being funny/jesting/poking fun at his political opponents. My perception on that is: why have political opponents? Partisan politics often leaves the general population left sitting there watching the mess as it unfolds and then "concludes" as far as that debate goes. No... not often - almost always. So much is invested in a political party's "reputation" that the whole point of having politicians (to re-present their constituency) is long forgotten. That would be funny if the issues were not of such importance. It is the same all around the world. I have voted for both the left wing and the right wing and even fringe parties. No more. I vote independent candidates now as they are the ones who, of necessity, remain conscious of who it was that actually elected them i.e. us. Yeah, it is an "interesting" clip. On the issue of social security, I do think there is a role for society to look after people. We are so varied in terms of abilities, limitations, opportunities, life circumstances etc. that it assists us all to know that some sort of system is in place to help people who may need it. So I support Franklin Roosevelt's initiatives on that whole issue. This clip, however, goes to the operations of establishing that system. I like humour (yes, Australian English) as much as the next person but the humour here betrays a dark reality. Why have representatives who are oh-so artificially tied to a fixed set of ideas? It is toxic.

uhhh the speech was given at the Democratic convention and begins with "Tonight you and I join forces for the 1936 campaign." Only erroneous thing here is your longwinded, boring comments.

@@bestofhumans4715 This video, 63 seconds long, began with "...me warn you, and let me warn the nation..." This clip, unlike the title which you put to it, had nothing to do with elections - it was a warning as perceived by Franklin Roosevelt. If all you have is a throw away adjective or two then... well anyway, I will let each person decide for themselves. Partisan politics though is toxic. You can either use it as a clutch or you can begin to see that each of us is a human being. Human. With strengths, limitations, opportunities, flaws, empathy and much much more. It is not limited to the Democrats or the Republicans or any other political party i.e. anywhere. I can only say/do so much in a KZfaq comment. I am not seeking to make you - or anyone else - some enemy of mine. That's just silly, even stupid. I thought/think it is important is all. For whatever it may be worth, I valued and value your upload.

@@Tom.Livanos Your comment would be great if the clip wasn't part of a FDR speech made about the upcoming election campaign in 1936 and the fallacies that his opponents had been trying to push. It quite literally has everything do to with elections and still does to this day. If you want to take the moral high ground, maybe check the facts first?
