I grew up 10 minutes from this house. My family would pass it going to church every week and always wondered why she never finished the renovations on the side. All these years later, the house still isn’t finished. I hope she is ok. I absolutely believe her. I have been inside the abandoned buildings. It’s sinister af. I couldn’t get into the hospital. This was back in 2003-2011. Now it’s all boarded up with fencing around.

I went to high school in a small town in Mississippi. My grandfather had bought and restored a familia home that had been the post office and general store as well as the residence of a great great Uncle. At that time the town was called Freedom, MS and was an open "secret" part of the Underground Railroad. Ole Miss took possession of many things after grandaddy knocked out a wall next to one of the fireplaces and found an entire room complete with a chalk board and student desk. Blank papers to to proclaim a slave as "Freed" and Confederate money. My room went across one side of the entire attic and the only part of the house left unfinish was separated by a staircase balcony that ran between the attic space and 2 glass doors. The attic was full of family history. Like my great aunt Abbie's spinning wheel that would occasionally spin and the foot peddle would be going up and down. Like many teens I would come in after curfew and sneak into the "old" part of the house (he had modernized the section of the home that was formerly the store and post office but restored the residential part to it's former glory all the way to the crown molding and 12 foot ceilings maki g only a few concessions such as a modernized bathroom and glass fireplace inserts for heat) but I digress. As a team I thought that if I could sneak into the "old" part of the home and sleep in either the "yellow" or "blue" I would not be detected breaking curfew often I would have a friend with me as well (sidenote Grandaddy was a decorated USMC Pltn Sgt during WW II who was a hero of Guadalcanal. I never once fooled him). Anyway EVERY SINGLE time I would sleep in the "yellow" room I would have a nightmare of standing in the town square looking at a bonfire surrounded by people. Then a man would walk up behind me and slit my throat from ear to ear and I would wake instantly but be unable to move or cry out. The really weird thing tho is that 3 different friends would dream they were spectators in the town square watching me get my throat slit they ALL WOKE UP RIGHT NEXT TO ME screaming and crying and trying to shake me saying I looked dead. My eyes were open but I could not even move them. Then after about 30 seconds it would just stop. After the 3rd event I never slept in there again. Many of the other incidents were all benign and once a spirit even woke me to go help a cousin who had fallen very ill with an insulin reaction while visiting one night. The spirit literally picked my arms up and shook me then opened the door that goes to the balcony and stairwell that led to the "yellow" room. I have no idea how I knew there was something wrong with Emily but I woke with the knowledge she was in serious danger and needed me. There are many many other events but other than the "yellow room nightmares " all the ghosts were serene and even helpful and playful. After my grandfather's death (in the home of cancer).The home was way to much work for my grandmother and they sold it to someone outside the family. Less than a year later squirrels caused an electrical fire in the unfinished half of the attic and the "Countiss House" as it was known burned to the ground

Awesome story! Well, I don't mean "story", I believe what you say. I just mean that's a lot of interesting stuff that went on, for sure. You mentioned the "blue" room...was there anything substantial about that room? Just curious. I have had quite a few "encounters" with uh... things lol. Unfortunately none of them of a benign nature.

I grew up in my grandmothers house and let me tell you it was so haunted I've never seen or heard things like i did in this house there were good and I believe very bad spirits and entities there and when we graduated I was 17 when my mom told me she was selling it,I was heartbroken but when we left guess what they followed it took me 4 moves to actually get rid of everything from the house that I had taken with me when I moved out on my own it was nuts I finally now at 44 have had peace!so you can't just move they can attach themselves to you!

It’s easy saying just leave, but if you leave sometimes it can get worse and you will find yourself obsessed with the place or find yourself back there, somehow. I guessed it was a mental asylum, even before it said it on the film. That's why it was haunted, because of how terrible they treat mentally ill patients , because of lack of understanding of mental illness.

I was living in a home for 12 years that once you went inside their was comstant fighting. That home had bad omen and bad spirits. It was a big home and in a nice area.To cut it short some homes can cause spirits to take over families and split them up. We moved to a better area actually and this home feels like home and no bad mojo.Beware of what home you pick.

Is this in Mansfield Ohio? I lived in a 23 room victorian house my parents bought back in 73 that was so horribly haunted within 6 mo we sold the place and moved!! Even at 8 yrs old I didn't believe in hauntings but I learned quickly there is a such thing!! We were choked, thrown down steps. This thing got in bed with my mom and snored very loudly but there was nothing you could see behind her. I got a PR of earrings for my birthday that I loved. I had them in my ears and I knew if I didn't take them out the "bad man" as I called him would rip them out but I knew if I hid them he would steal them. I decided to put them in my dresser drawer . My mom got me up for school the next morning and the 1st thing I did was open my drawer and sure enough they were gone. The piano would play and there was stomping up n down the steps all night nearly every nights. Here we're were a family of 5 and a dog in a 23 room house sleeping in the same room with the dog back under the bed with her head stuck out from under the bed and her hair standing straight up. After a particular bad night when I was getting ready to go to school my mom yelled " I will not leave this house until the furniture is turned upside down" I was so mad at her. I came home and my mom was sitting on the porch which she never did. I knew why too. I came up on the porch and my mom opened the door and said "did you do this" jokingly. I know this haunting had something to do with the hole cut out in the bedroom floor and the closet that was cemented in.

@@hotsizzle8668 then is it better to stay on the road? i mean, even out on the road you could freeze to death in the cold....you could get a ticket for even being on the road when you shouldn't.....that woman just wanted to have a happy little place to call her home......some where where she and her baby could stay happy and safe.....or would it be okay to just have a van or trailer to live in (i personally think that would be a good idea having a movable house like that).....but if you see it logically none of these is a good idea over a long run....i mean i think i understand what you mean, and you mean that you think that it would be better as in build a house of your own rather than buy one, right? (or at least that is what you might be trying to say....i hope) but you know, not every one has so much money to start building their dream home....and also, well, buying a home is far easier than building one especially if you plan to save some money for you and your family.......and once you have enough money then you can either build a new home or just do what you want......but for a newly formed family with a baby, having a home is the most important thing.......in any case.....and also not many owners of haunted houses will tell you that their house is haunted.....why? BECAUSE IF THEY DO, THEY WILL LOOSE MONEY AND PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BUY THEIR HOUSE, OR LIVE IN THEIR HOUSES, WILL NOT WANT TO BUY OR EVEN LIVE IN THAT HOUSE......so this is a tactic i have noticed in so many of these programs and when the present owners try to ask their neighbours about the house or when they try to confront the previous owners, no one is going to be willing to talk about it.....and people will think that those owners are nuts or that they did something to "start" their problems because the previous owners might not have noticed anything wrong with the house until this family bought it.....i hope that you understand what i mean........it is not the question of people not buying the house, or building a house.....the thing is that most of the people who buy some houses are not informed about many things or they might over look those details completely by taking it as a "story" than what it really is.........and i have noticed that sometimes even if someone where to build their own house, there have been instances where the land itself is cursed because some families end up building homes on land that looks normal and new, but after building their home things start happening........so either way what can people do? this woman was lucky to be able to find a new home or leave the place quickly but many other people who live in haunted houses aren't that lucky.......i just ask you to put yourself in that family's place and then think about what you said.....because when it comes to ourselves being in that same situation, i don't think that what you said would even come to your mind.....and you would do exactly the same thing this woman did.....especially if you and your wife (that's if you are married, if not then you won't understand what i mean) have become new parents and suddenly you find a beautiful home you and you wife love and think it as perfect........sometimes our own family homes are haunted but we may never notice it because we live there for years and our parents and their parents before them....but suddenly a new family buys that old home and suddenly feels all this and asks you about it, you will just think that that person is off their rockers!

The house is quiet and calm now whoever was there is at peace and I no longer get chills passing by. Very well put together film. It's unclear from this how long Amy had been in the house before the rest of the family arrived. Very glad no one was sceptical about the disturbances, blaming the usual rats or distant trains. God bless these people, and the victims of the evil system. At schools in the '60s/'70s, mental health conditions and epilepsy were still routinely treated as criminal insanity, something incurably disturbing. Looking back, many staff had their own psychological problems.

I love when people say they would do this or they would do that......you don't have a clue to what you would really do in the same situation!!!! Oooh, for the ones that don't believe, when it happens to you, then you would because I had my EXPERIENCE
@praying4America43

@yuko Hashimoto I know i would run through HELL for my children but I also know for a fact that some people would rather save themselves before their own. You can have your own opinion but i know from experience that i knew of several people that ran off and left their children in terrible situations. That is why I said that. I had my own experience and do not care to take on the devil for my children.

Never believed in ghosts/spirits until this instance happened to me and my family : I once rented a studio for a holiday with my family. It was on the landlord's property, and right next to it were several small houses in a dilapidated state, seemingly from medieval times, apparently waiting for renovation. There was the old original basement under the studio where the laundry machine was. Upon arrival, I felt like someone was looking at us from behind the grated ventilation hole in the wall next to the basement door. Later when I walked towards the basement door to check it out, I was convinced I saw someone hurrying away from behind that grate, like a person afraid to be discovered. Upon entering, the basement was totally empty. One night I was dreaming some person was sitting in the corner of the studio, observing us. After a minute, I felt this person to be a threat to my family, and primal instinct took over : I started growling and snorting to scare him away. At that moment, my wife shook me awake, telling me I was dreaming. Later that day she told me that before my growls, she dreamt that a person had been watching her curiously. She's asian, and this happened in Europe. Same place on another day, I was with my youngest daughter doing laundry in the basement. She said she liked the place. I asked her jokingly if she wants to stay and live here, and immediately I could not breathe anymore. Like my lungs were empty and had no power to breathe in, and my throat was blocked. After several seconds I started coughing, and started breathing again. Too many coincidences for my liking to have happened "by chance".

What ever people believe about the hauntings, there is no excusing the despicable treatment of those poor people at the hospital. I'm also having trouble believing this story is true. Yeah, you have "actual photos" but that means nothing any more since that English doctor - while close to death - finally admitted his famous photo of the Loch Ness Monster was a hoax. BUT ... if this is possibly real, and those three people still live there, has the paranormal activity calmed down or did those people make some kind of peaceful coexistence deal with the entities?

I guess lunch is more important than checking to see if your baby is safe! Seriously what were they thinking? Ooh what a pretty song ... I wonder where it is coming from because we definitely don't have it in the house 😂 I'm willing to suspend my disbelief in ghosts, but not for these 2 lazy parents who would rather have a snack.

First full frontal lobotomy wasn’t performed until 1935. Also it doesn’t help when the actors supposedly portraying the real life people are less convincing than those in the apparent reconstructions. The only thing terrifying about this is how people can believe it.
