I just shot Remington Thunderbolt at steel targets from 160 yards, and I was surprised by how well it performed. So, I decided to try another bulk ammo, and this time it was Federal Automatch .22lr. It also impressed me with its performance. I had a couple of misses towards the end, but I might have gotten a bit too eager. I'm using my Tikka T1X, topped with a Meopta Optika 6 5-30x56 scope. The stock is a GRS, made right here in Norway.

I was amazed at both the ammo and your performance! Good Job! I didn't have great experience years ago with automatch as far as 25-50 yards.

Hello! I think the problem with plinking ammo is that it is so inconsistent from lot to lot. You never know what you're going to get. One good lot can be surprisingly accurate, while the next one is like a shotgun pattern

@Logan-py8we you must not do precision 22lr? All we use is lead 😄 🤣 We are not hunting my friend, we are shooting paper for fun and enjoyment. I am sure we all have other rifles to use for dispatch of animals. Keep on keeping on! And you do know that is copper washed lead correct 😉 😜

America has not made 22lr ammo that’s good since Winchester and Federal stopped making their match ammo.

Yes, that is a sad fact. It`s a strange thing that none of the american manufacturers want to be known for accuracy?

Federal ulta match and better match ammo were the best ammo made in the USA. Most ammo made here is just ok. A truly sad state of affairs but pretty much just the American way.
