I've expressed this sentiment previously, and I'll reiterate it today: There's simply no guitar instructor quite like you, who generously offers everything for free. I think your extraordinary commitment enables you to surmount the typical hurdles associated with teaching guitar, ensuring that students don't experience the usual dissatisfaction often encountered in learning. Your approach sets you apart, offering a different narrative altogether.

Man you are touching on all my favorite artist, I have spent a lot of time in Mississippi hill country and hung out with the Kimbrough’s and Dewayne Burnside and as a musician when I discovered the hill country and soul blues years ago I been hooked on it, especially after hearing it live

As a Brit who had always loved blues, and just got into playing hill country style, is kind of a dream to visit Mississippi and find some guys playing on a porch somewhere. Maybe someday.

Thanks so much for your awesome lessons - your enthusiasm is contagious & keeps me motivated. You really have a gift for teaching! Im finding the bend on the 2nd fret of the G string a bit tricky so swapped it out for the 7th on the D.

Oh mannn you really did a good job on this one. I have to say, these old guys always referred to themselves as blues *singers* and the guitar was secondary to them. And I think this performance is a good example. As incredibly cool as the guitar work is, and your enthusiasm and skills are fantastic, his voice is coming from somewhere in heaven.

You are my favorite guitarist/teacher on KZfaq! Your lessons are amazing! One of the top 5 top guitar teachers. I never knew about Hill Country Blues until I came across your channel. I am addicted to its hypnotic rhythms. I Iearned Going Down South from you and covered it on my channel. If you ever have time or are interested, could you do a lesson for Trouble In Mind in a Hill Country style or similar? Thank you for this channel!

thanks for you videos! they really inspire me to play more! quick question, whats your opinion on the ideal A chord fingering for fingerpicking? I find if three finger it, it wont ring true on the d string. Is this a practice issue? Thanks!
@FeedbackGuitarAcademy
@FeedbackGuitarAcademy Жыл бұрын
Thanks- Well ideally you should be able to use both for different situations, but I recommend picking one fingering for now and getting really comfortable with it and then later when you get to a situation where you need a different fingering start to work on that one. But for now just work with what you can.😀

When I hear the playing I am always taken to The Beatles' Come Together. Are these similar styles (or Lennon was inspired by the Hill Country Blues) or am I mishearing it?
@FeedbackGuitarAcademy
@FeedbackGuitarAcademy Жыл бұрын
Thats an interesting connection. Im not sure if they were inspired specifically by Hill Country, but they were highly influenced by blues musicians at the time. You're not hearing it wrong, Im sure there's some similarities. Thanks for watching and commenting!
