That is pretty darn stable. For a guy that doesnt kayak fish I am always shocked that they don't tip. I wonder how the stability changes when it is loaded with gear. This video reminds me of being a kid near lake Sunapee, messing with the cheap kayaks and our canoe, flipping it on purpose. Such fun.

I bought the lure 11.5 in 2016 . I was about 350 lbs at the time and was impressed with the stability . I had tried my friend’s 2014 lure , so I knew it was a great kayak . Long story short , I am 220 lbs now and I can walk it bow to stern in the water .

Dude! That’s awesome! Congrats on the weight loss. I’m impressed you can walk bow to stern, I did not have the easiest time on the bow, it’s like your balancing on a razor blade

Joe just a heads up, I’ve broken quite a bit of parts, nothing irreplaceable, but still something to be aware of. Here’s a list of what I’ve broke in the last 3 years: propeller, highback chair shear pins, the 8 ball steering housing, ruder cables, an adjustment strap to the highback seat… oh and I wore a good size hole thru the bow/nose of it too.

I keep a large sponge, like the ones you may wash a car with in my yak for unwanted water. Granted, its a whitewater yak so, its probably not the easiest thing to do on a sit on while on the water.

Thank you, it was kind of a selfish video… it’s really fun to mess around and fall out a kayak… well as long as you not losing gear

@@FreshwaterFishingNovice How's the seat? I hear some people complain about the seat not being that great because it only supports your lower back.

Well, I can’t comment on the low back seat, I got the highback… so no problems there. Every year I do break the sheer pin on the seat… but it’s a cheap replacement, I have 6 backups in my garage. Most recently one of the adjustment strap buckles broke in the middle of fishing. But I tied it in a knot just to continue fishing. If you have anymore question, I’m more then happy to give you my honest opinion

Naw man same kayak, I just test it/myself every year to stay comfortable with practicing re-entry. Also there isn’t a ton of video out there on the feel free kayaks, well not as much as other companies

Thank you for that demo. I made a small attempt at standing in my FF. I won't do that again. Which leads me to my ? I can't find much info on the standup bar. Do you have any input about the bar? I would like to stand to fish, (and pee). Thanks

I got nothing on the stand up bar, side note… I ditched the standup strap as soon as I purchased the kayak. I typically use a hand to push off the seat when I stand.

The only instability would be in the one operating the kayak , not the kayak itself . Fully loaded , I have never tipped this kayak in 7 years and I walk all over it . I did weigh 350 lbs when i first bought it . I am now at 215 . it is a great kayak for a bigger guy . I mainly use mine in the Snake river . Yea , stable enough that I can stand up on it in the river as long as I do my part .

where does the water enter inside from?

The water gets inside the kayak through the rudder cable holes. But they are typically above the waterline, unless you stand in the very back of the kayak (behind the seat)
