It's funky, but to me there is something missing, of course that's my opinion.

Larry.....your right!!! Fudgie kae Solomon played a p bass with heavy gauge flatwound strings. With the volume cranked up. That gentleman is playing a jazz bass. With 70's funk music...it makes a big difference. Drummer needs to kick harder too. Mandrill is not an easy band to replicate. All in all.....I think they did a fantastic job.

I was the last drummer for Mandrill. This is pretty good. Only thing missing to me is the PERCUSSION AND the second guitar part. Bass needs to be up in this mix also. But it is still pretty damn good!

Thank you fellas,yes I for one didn't play any percussions, we were concentrating on harmonies 😊 the other board wasn't there. The drummer is mousey Thompson who was one of james brown's drummers. Bass is keith Showtime Busey who is the stylistics MD. It went good for the show😊✊🏾
