Great Khutbah. I have a lot of respect for this uphill battle you're fighting. Insh'Allah, we can become the most morally upstanding people possible, so that others don't look at us with scorn but with respect and admiration.

I will start by holding back my anger and barbarity in my home. I used to be someone who breaks furniture out of anger, but I’m getting that under control. I haven’t punched a table or chair in 1 and a half years now :) I can work on my verbal anger.

I agree 100%. I am constantly disappointed by my Muslim brothers and sisters who are quick to anger when someone insults our religion or our prophet (PBUH). Is it not better to engage intellectually with these people, rather than give them more reason to insult us? Showing patience does not mean that we condone what these people say, but it shows a greater trust in Allah and in our own knowledge. I hope to see an increase of hilm and sabr among the muslim community in years to come inshallah.

Thank you Dr. Javad, this really is the best Khutba one can attend/listen to. I hope young Muslims and non-muslims all over the world find this simplistic style, clarity of speech and the curation of Quranic verses beneficial and see religion in a new light and relate to it. Jazakallah

Thank you so much. I try to counter the tendency to speak in a preachy, sing song, or dogmatic voice. I believe we should just talk normally to our audience as fellow human beings with intellects of their own.

Muslims are wonderful people if they follow the right teachings in the Quran, to CHOOSE the GOOD over the bads. It is a thin line where MUSLIMS NEED to tread carefully. They have got beautiful culture which are to be emulated. Let's not talk about the EXTREME ones.
