@grgr67204 ай бұрын
@@user-vk5ws3jl1l Yes but stride length alone does not mean much. You might increase your stride length but this might reduce your cadence or even lead you to overstriding which in total will make you slower. So its the whole motion chain you want to improve not only stride length.
@user-vk5ws3jl1l4 ай бұрын
@@grgr6720 True its part of running technique. But height and stride length do give a big advantage. Look up Bolts stride length compared to his competitions.

@@user-vk5ws3jl1l Bolt was a phenomenon for this exact reason because he had this huge stride length but could combine it with superb cadence. This combination was killer. It s Awesome that she is running indoors. She keeps her momentum and nothing beats the actual competition. You can train all you want, still the actual competition is where the rubber meets the road. Everything for when and how much elytes to drink, how much sleep to get, how much and when to eat, you can not duplicate on training when you can do any of those things when you want to and you can stop when you want to. Also, she keeps on inspiring myself and all of the her fans year long with her competing indoor and outdoor. I don't want to see replays of last year. Tks Femke

I am soooo looking forward to nearly every women's track event. This is the real golden age of women's track (the 80's Soviet and East Bloc doping era doesn't count in my book). Sydney McLaughlin and Femke Bol: the two best 400m hurdlers of all time. Will they stay with the hurdles, or attempt the 400 also? And in the 400 we can't rule out Shaune Miller-Uibo, but she was pregnant most of 2022 and gave birth almost a year ago. How has that affected her? And finally there's Salwa Eid Naser, who's run the third fastest of all time (and the fastest of all if you discount the Soviet cheating), but she herself was banned for two years for missing drug tests, and is coming back. It's all exciting.
