Fence and Gate Update at ~14 Months

I've been asked a few times for an update video on the fence and gate and what I might do differently in retrospect. I didn't narrate this video, but I have included my thoughts below.
1. The gaps between the pickets are now slightly wider than when first built due to drying, which I expected. I used screws to secure the pickets to the rails to allow for future adjustment. The gaps don't yet bother me, so I haven't felt compelled to close them.
2. The cable I used is plastic coated. The plastic caused the lines to slip through the u-bolts over time. I solved that problem by removing the plastic coating from the ends about six months ago.
3. The gates' weight causes minor flex in the 4x4 hinge posts when the gates are open at 90 degrees. This is the same flex that the cables and turnbuckles prevent when the gates are closed. The amount of flex has not changed over time. When the gates are open, the ground clearance is the same today (~14 months later) as day one. The flex does not adversely impact gate function for me, but for example, if I had a driveway gate with an automated opener, I'd probably use 6x6 wood or steel posts.
4. I sealed the fence and gates with deck sealer, which is how it has retained most of its original color (or at least avoided the greying that typically occurs with cedar fences). I reapplied the sealer at the 1-year mark.
5. I added landscape lighting so the fence would remain visible in the evenings. :)

If you seal the fence with deck sealer (once per year) it should stay looking sharp. I'm glad to hear my video was helpful to you. Good luck!

@fahed zahran I appreciate the vote of confidence. I didn’t list it because it has no narration like the original video and as such seemed sub par to me. My plan is/was to do a narrated one but I’m currently busy with a fireplace / grill station video. I did add a card to the end of the fence / gate video to advertise the ~14 mo update video. Thanks again for your comment.

@LouisStorms what about your hinges? Are they coated galvanized and hardware? Did you use and stainless for the cedar gate frame?

Yes to hinges. I believe I used deck screws on the frame.
