Bought this amp on a whim to replace an really nice Orange amp that decided to self destruct. I cant believe how authentic those fender clean tones are for s relatively inexpensive modeling amp. Its got amazing tone when simulating a twin reverb , bassman and deluxe. The none fender tones are very good,.not totally 100% spot on but damn close. I have yet to utilize the USB or fender fusion software,.but that because im still having a blast with the presets after 6 months

Alehandro hello. I am playing blues and blues rock on a strat. I think the type of music and sound your after is critical. The orange had great distortion but the twin reverb function ( again ,.for playing blues) puts the Fender amp heads and shoulders above the orange

Dagan - great review of this amp which I bought not too long ago. The Fender twin reverb ( on the orange bank ) sounds fantastic. You can get some terrific tones from this amp which you clearly demonstrated. The only downside I think is Fender fuse which is not always fully supported by Fender. Great job! Have a great day from Phoenix, Arizona.

@@matep5361 That's very strange. Which guitar were you using? For me when I dial in the 80s British setting, it sounds great. Then there's the "metal 2000" setting which I don't use as often, but it's more high-gain and everything sounds good, at least with my guitar.

I have gigged since I was 15 and am now 67. I have a pile of amps but since I got one of these, it is all I use. I put an SM58 in front of it and it sounds great through the PA. The amp models are great and easy to tweak with the FUSE software. I have everything where I want it and bought another one and made a duplicate for backup. No more lugging a large, heavy amp for me. Those stay in the home studio and are now just for recording.
@snowlites
@snowlites 5 жыл бұрын
For anyone who buys this amp... DEFINITELY use the Fuse software to get overdrive and heavy tones from this thing. The stock overdrive tones sound like absolute tosh, but I found more options on the Fuse software that salvaged a better heavier tone out of this thing. Overall, it's a fair purchase. Got mine for 75$, and it's worth every cent. However, it's only worth 75$.

I bought an enormous Peavey 100 watt tube head I connected to a 2x12 speaker head in December. When I was in the music shop a guy was getting a guitar and amp for his son for Christmas. The salesperson was showing him this particular amp and I thought “wow Fender has certainly come a long way with these practice amps.” I really regret not getting one as I’ve found out this 100 watt head is really too big to play at home even turned the whole way down.

Nice review, great little amp reproduction with amazing volume. Fender has cancelled the Fender Fuse software, no longer downloadable or maintained. You need 32 bit computer to run it; will not work on newer 62 bit. You need Fuse to add overdrive and other effects not available directly on the amp. The latter is what I don't like about it; otherwise a great sounding modeling amp!

Holding down the EXIT button and turning the Treble knob adjusts the Middle. I have an Android app (Remuda) that lets me forego booting up the Windows laptop (I'm a Linux guy) to adjust stuff but it's having the knobs on the top rather than the front that has me wanting something else (Super Champ X2.) Fender has stopped supporting the FUSE software and that might should dissuade people from buying this even if it can provide really good sounds. Peace.

I have this and Blackstar ID core V2 40W. Both are great practice amps and surely loud enough (plug headphones so no problem in small apartment). This has 8 pcs of awesome presets and maybe more tasty metal sounds. Id core has 6 pcs voices which are also great but not so versatile than those of Mustang. But stereo effect from Id core is amazing it really fills the room and the effects like reverb and delay can be set so that the sound is everywhere. Quite difficult to say which is better of these two...maybe you have to choose according to your style. If you are more into metal take this (but note that the Fuse is not updated anymore). If you want more effect sounds take Id core...or take both like me who could not decide ; )

after about a year of using this amp in my basement, i decided to see what it can do instead of scrolling through presets and using anything that sounded good, and realized that it has a usb port. What kinda usb port is THAT.

USB 2. Works with any other USB port on your PC or laptop. Use with the Fender Fuse software. If you look in the box it came in, you will find the proper USB cable with a mini port on one end. If you lost it, take the amp to a computer store and have them provide at least a 6 foot one that fits on both ends. Make sure you check it out, though, because there are several sizes of mini port ends and only one will fit the Fender Mustang 1v2.

Hi. I would like to ask, if there is an option to customize some presets so I could use distortion and super flanger simultaneously? Thank you in advance for your replies.

Brian Charles Mustangs (all of them) don't take GAIN pedals well. If you are pumping in a chorus or some other non-gain effect, you'd probably be ok for purely clean tones. I shopped around for a while looking at small combos to be used as USB inputs to my PC. I actually tried a few pedals into a Mustang I v.2 to see how it worked. It was not a good sound

Brian Charles The Mustang is a modeling amp and at one point I know you could download those models from the Fuse software. The software is not being supported as of March 20th in lew of the new GT model so you might be able to download current models and some people may continue to upload new models. Hope this helps.

Brian Charles I know for $350.00 USD there’s the Schecter Omen, Ibanez ART120QA to name a few. I would recommend you to go to your local shop and try on a few and see what fits you.

Anonymous Yamaha THR10 is around US$480 while Fender Mustang 1V2 is around US$ 180. Yamaha THR10 is only 10Watts while Fender Mustang is 20 Watts. I bought this Fender Mustang 20 Watts it’s very loud.Can be heard in a radius of 200 to 300 meters in the daytime.Very good Amp.

Hey, I currently have the Epiphone Les Paul Player Pack Ebony guitar kit (costed me around 250 dollars) including an amp. I'm mostly playing (hard) rock and metal on this guitar, but I just can't get the sound like it should be... I''m really wondering why. Would you recommend me to buy a better amp to increase the sound quality, or would it be better to purchase an multi-effect pedal (since I don't have one yet)? Or is it maybe best to just buy a whole new (more expensive) guitar?

Buy a blackstar or orange solid state used. Both are cheap and sound pretty good. If you got the money find a decent tube amp on the used market. My cousin borrowed my Traynor YCV 50B and is in love with it. If you get an off brand tube amp that is still good you can score some great deals. Look for Traynor, great tone and people use to give them away. Vintage Traynor amps that can go from fender clean to marshall crunch still go for 450-600 CAD. Comparable vintage heads go for thousands. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aphke9llyc2Xias.html
