I'd carry that as a SPT (Special Purpose Tool) especially on DUI checkpoints, traffic stops in general, and nightime traffic accidents.

A couple yeas back when I did security i did also carry a backup light, some 150 lumen Streamlight Micro. Or more like I just forgot it in my pocket one night and left it there until one night when my primary light ran out of battery right when I was in them middle of telling a trespasser to go find something else to do at 1am. To which that backup light really was a blessing to have.

This and similar laser lights might make excellent options for searchlights in rural areas where sight lines tend to be longer.

Cloud defensive mch high candela with 80k candela or their duty mch at 50k candela will do this same thing but give you way more light in the vehicle thru the tint. You should contact them for a review

I see this being useful as a supplement to the main duty flashlight. Due to the lack of spill, this is more of a single-purpose tool for looking through tint or searching at long distance. It seems like more people are blacking out their car windows because they're doing stuff they don't want people to see. Coming from the high-end flashlight world, laser-excited phosphor flashlights are fun for the lightsaber use but almost no one carries one as an EDC light. 21700 batteries are relatively inexpensive and easy to find online if you want to pick up spares.

It seems to me like tinted windows are getting way more prevalent now. Like when I was little, back 15-20 years ago it was less than 5% of cars that had really deep tint, now it seems closer to half of them. I really hate it as a pedestrian because I can’t see if I’ve been seen or not.

Anyone have any luck with a holster for this? The one that comes with it is total garbage.
