Sexual Abuse affects victims for the remainder of their lives. Ppl PLEASE seek help if this is a cycle in your family. Be strong and Stop the generational abuse. There is help available. Mark interviews perpetrators and I know they watch this channel. So please seek help for yourself and/or talk to someone you trust to start the healing process. I can’t stress enough the cost to a person’s life when they are sexually abused. Don’t be ashamed. You can be the change. The cycle can stop.✨

I've struggled with heroin/fentanyl addiction for more than 10 years. I have been incarcerated and lived homeless. I myself have been stabbed, shot, and beat. I got to a point where i was truly upset when i would wake up in the morning still alive. I didn't want to live ,but I didn't want to die either. I assure you that is a horrible emotional state to live in. I have several years clean now and am so blessed to wake up every day. My heart goes out to all addicts active and sober. People who haven't been through it will never understand it.

Some of us are “functioning” addicts. When I was on pain meds from a shitty doctor I worked 60 hours a week and had a $280,000 mortgage and a car and motorcycle. Among other things. Other than my bloated and pasty appearance at the time, you’d never know anything was wrong with me. Most people told me they don’t know anything was wrong once I came back to work and told everyone why I was gone after getting clean. It’s a crazy disease and it affects us all differently. I hope this woman gets clean but I have a feeling she more than likely won’t. Hope I’m wrong though.

My mom is 4 ~ almost 5 years sober from a deep Heroin addiction, has regained & built a fulfilling life back for herself. Reconnected with family, good job, beautiful home, got her younger children back. & I have seen that journey, I have seen her strong sobriety, & it’s very possible. But I do believe an addict needs to find something to truly live for to maintain sobriety. For my mom it’s God & her children. For you, I pray you find yours, it’s so possible, you just need to find the part of you deep within that wants to live more than wants to die

You just nailed the answer ... God! I was abused for several years by my own father in a home with both parents but no love. Everyone got grown and moved out and the parents divorced. At 23, I went to a church and liked it, scared, but liked it. After while I gave my heart to Jesus and I found what I had been looking for. People are not raising their kids with any belief system other than themselves and obviously, we cannot manage our own lives without the Creator's help. In church, you will see several families together. 3 or 4 generations of a family. Its reassuring that some people are still normal.

I was rushed to the hospital with a bowel obstruction and toxic megacolon about a year ago. I had 27 staples down my abdomen and a ileostomy. I was given the least amount of pain medication possible due to my past history with pain medication. I was furious b/c I had been clean and in recovery for 9 years prior, yet I was still treated like an addict. I don't understand why the stigma in hospitals has not changed at all!!! Addicts are afraid to be honest with the doctors and the doctors are afraid of giving medication to the addicts in fear of feeding a habit. Something has to change....former addicts get sick and may need pain medication, addicts may need surgery and in some instances need opioids.

Very true, there is also a high increase of child trafficking during this year because of the lockdowns too, which confuses me because I thought people weren't supposed to go out? Apparently we're all inside and aren't witnessing the predators outside I suppose... there's also been a marked increase of suicide, in kids, during these lockdowns as well. That's just in the first world, in the third world over 10,000 kids have been starving to death monthly due to these lockdowns, that is a conservative number given by the WHO. That's over 100,000 kids, conservatively, that have starved to death so far because of this. These lockdowns will kill more than they save, and I think people are aware its not about a virus anymore.. its about a communist takeover; or the "Great Reset" as the world leaders are calling it. Justin Trudeau has said this virus is the perfect opportunity to usher in the great reset. He said this on TV, CBC news I think? You can look it up if you want.

Mark, I love your work and it's so important but you have to reign in your biases when you interview. One of your leading questions in this interview was "It must be difficult for a woman to do this kind of work without being high or drunk or something?". In your interview with Unique you ask, "It must mess your self esteem right? (...) Its like your selling your soul right?" It's clear that Unique thinks about her prostitution as survival sex. Even if you think that your comments are true, it might not be what the people being interviewed are thinking. If you really want to present the interviewee perspective, then it's best not to insert unsolicited opinions during the interview process. If your interviewee didn't really have your opinion about the nature of prostitution, they might unwittingly curate their story to confirm your comment. This misleads your audience and also misrepresents the person being interviewed. Don't ask leading questions like, "This is far from what you dreamed of for your life, right?" Maybe ask, "When you were younger how did you think your life would turn out?" or "What were your ambitions as a child?" Or "how does this affect your self-esteem?" If this doesn't lead to a response, then start leading gently by asking questions like "Does this put you down? Does it make you feel good about yourself?"

This is such a remarkable channel. Change and transformation is possible. However, it is difficult to work through childhood trauma as an adult and be around those or know of those who harmed you, that are alive and well today. Meanwhile the abuse survivor almost always succumbs to an addiction of some sort. It really does suck. I know there are resources out there, I just wish the punishment for these crimes were harsher. Crack and Fentanyl Use with a Pace Maker is Impending Death.. So Sad.. Beautiful Woman Heart Breaking Story 💔
@meaghanl8372

I was addicted to carfentanil (IV) for 6 years now I’m 25 with 2 years clean. I work in a rehab now. When I was using I used to ask Prostitutes like her,”what happened to you? Do you want to get clean”. Always the same answer, always a similar story. Most of the people you see like her desperately want to get clean but it can’t be difficult without insurance. Allot of the state mandated rehabs are horrible. Cash pay sober livings that are really dope houses. I see people with insurance who go to treatment and don’t want to be there. Their families force them, their wives/husbands give ultimatums. They relapse while in treatment and voice LOUDLY that they don’t want to be there. It makes me sad for the people who can’t and want to more than anything. I was luck that I was young and on a family members insurance.

Jayme, my heart goes out to you. There are 12 step programs that could give you a lot of support. Many people have been abandoned by their families but find a new type of family there. Or seek out or create your own group of others like you if 12 step programs don’t work for you. It is a long road out but there is a path. This film can be the start. That you got clean once means you can do it again. It is a learning process in which you have to be easy with yourself and get back up on the horse when you fall off no matter how many times it happens. I can see the strength, intelligence and emotional depth in you as I’ve also witnessed in myself and others who have come through this. Hang in girl....
