I am going strong with Makeup by Mario foundation, based on your video recommendation. I had been using Jones Road WTF a lot, but Mario is easier and cheaper. This Fenty Soft Lit looks like an interesting option for when I want to have more coverage. I learned a lot from this video…LVMH company info, talc grading info, niche marketing. Thank you for such rich content, Lisa! (PS Your red lipstick and glasses look is very glamorous! Love it!)

I really like the Makeup By Mario formula but am frustrated that they do not make a good shade for me. They have 30 shades and only 5 for fair/light skin tones, and so a lot of people are just not going to get a good match. i'm happy for you that it is working for you! I had forgotten about the limited color selection…as I get some color this summer I may end up going back to Jones Road. And I may look into Fenty-they certainly do appear to have the right color for anyone. Thanks again for all the info!

@@ellenredden3341 Jones Road did add some new shades in the WTF a week or two ago, including two new ones in fair/light shades. If only they didn't put those essential oils in that product so that I could wear it! ❤

Interesting vid. Thanks. Amazing to see how many products belong to LVMH. I still prefer my Typology tinted serum to the other foundations I've tried (I'm 74 and others emphasise wrinkles and pores too much: Clinique, Armani. . .)

I do really like that Typology tinted serum and actually just bought the two lightest shades (they offer a discount for the second shade) to try out on camera and then to use. Typology recently released an SPF product and a liquid bronzer, and so I am looking forward to trying those too! ❤

I am working through my Lisa Eldridge foundation and still love it. When I get done with it, I want to try her skin tint. I think I've become a skin tint person, especially in the summer. Right now I'm also using the Tom Ford concealer as foundation, as well as the MOB Beauty cream foundation (although I have to use it as a concealer only because I got the wrong color). So skin tints and cream foundations are my top choices right now. I absolutely could NOT wear that Fenty Pro Filter. I sent it back to the company! I was interested in the Eazdrop skin tint, but if it's anything like the Pro Filter, I will hate it. So thank you for helping me save my money! Fenty annoys me with their weird spelling of words in their marketing. I feel like I'm reading Mark Twain!! I do have their powder foundation and really liked it when I used it, although I haven't used it in a year. I need to pull it out; it would probably be really good in the summer during sweating season! :) It is also great for traveling. If you're interested in reviewing a high-end foundation, I'm interested in the Sisley Phyto something. I believe it has very light fragrance, so that might not be a good option, though. I'm trying to remember that the high-end brands almost always have fragrance! Might not be worth it even if it is a wondrous foundation, as I've heard. Fragrance doesn't irritate my skin; what I have to watch out for is if it's so strong that it gives me a migraine.

I'm working on a Lisa Eldridge overview video right now. I agree that the Fenty spellings are a little annoying! I did really like the Natasha Denona powder foundation, and so maybe a comparison video of powder foundations would be worth doing. I think that the Blue Mercury that i go to may have Sisley products and so maybe I could give that foundation a try. I would be surprised if it worked for me with the fragrance - that is why I haven't tried anything from Sisley so far. But I will take a look. Thanks much for sharing your experiences! ❤

Thanks Lisa for another another informative video. I think the cool peach foundation looked too light for you..at least on my my tablet it did. I do love the glasses & reddish lips..very sophisticated. What color lipstick are you wearing if you said I'm sorry I missed it. I edit this to add my goto foundation are wtf jones rd or bobbie brown stick also use laura geller tinted moisturizer or IT cosmetic. Just depends on my skin.

I do think that the Pro Filt'r foundation looks a little light for me in this footage - I just have a sample of that one The Soft'Lit one seems to be better, even though they both are 160. Thank you for sharing the information about the foundations that you use. I need to take a look at the Laura Gellar line to see if anything might have potential for me. Thank you for the nice compliments about my appearance - that lipstick is Merit Satin Apertif, which is not currently in production (though the shade is supposed to be the same as the Merit Matte Vermillion). I wish they would bring it back! ❤

This was a great video. I was interested in the soft lit but don’t feel excited now. I don’t like a heavy face of foundation in the summer . Honestly fenty fails imo with all the names of foundations. I liked the eye primer but got very sensitive to it after 3 months. , same with eyeliner, & lip balm . . I heard other ytubers complain , so I stopped buying it . Their lip glosses are too much as far as heat . Currently I’m using tinted spfs, beauty of Joseon spf, clear, &!looking for their green color correcting choice. I like my Mob beauty foundation N40, L’Oréal new true match serum, & Calirays new concealer as a touch up foundation . Because I rely on bronzing drops serums or Rms bronzers / powders in warm weather, I like to use a tinted SPF , to match , and then , spot conceal , apply bronzer , & powder a bit, & setting spray/ VITC IN YELLOW / by urban decay. ( That’s all as I work outside.& dislike that overheated face / sweaty feel . )I am interested in new foundation drops by UD , wet & wild new serum drops, to cover scarring . I love Japanese/ Korean skincare & beauty but am too med / for face foundations. So urban decay, wet & wild, new releases interest me. Esp if used as 4-5?drops,only , with a concealer for heavier coverage. Fitglow beauty has a good bamboo powder, lip products , but haven’t tried face products. Thx and hi to Coco !!❤❤❤❤I feel like the Mario face enhancer(?) might be good in Summer (?)

It's looking like maybe they took that Fenty eye primer off the market, I think. Summer is definitely more challenging for me with regard to makeup - that could be a good project for me, to try to figure out some good looks that work. Hi, Lisa. To remove waterproof makeup, double cleanse with an oil-based cleanser like Dear Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil. It's the clear one that's scent-free. Massage one pump onto dry face and neck, add a little water to emulsify it, and rinse off. Then wash with a water-based cleanser like your Lisa Eldridge cleanser. This is an ancient Korean method, and it works.

Yes, I'm familiar with the concept of the double cleanse and have tried it with many, many different oil products. I don't feel that most of these products work very well for me, at least with some of these longwear foundations such as this one. Maybe people think they have removed the foundation from their skin when really they actually have not? I do think that if I used some of these foundations regularly, I would lose all sense of what my untreated skin actually feels like and therefore think that I had been successful in removing them when actually I had not. The Lisa Eldridge cleanser is not water-based. Here is a list of all the ingredients. CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE · GLYCERIN · SQUALANE · AVENA SATIVA KERNEL OIL · (OAT KERNEL OIL)· LIMNANTHES ALBA SEED OIL (MEADOWFOAM SEED OIL)· AQUA ·POLYGLYCERYL-10 MYRISTATE · OPUNTIA FICUS-INICA SEED OIL (PRICKLY PEAR OIL)· PASSIFLORA EDULIS SEED OIL (PASSION FRUIT SEED OIL)· QUILLAJA SAPONARIA WOOD EXTRACT (SAPONINS)· SAPONARIA OFFICINALIS LEAF/ROOT EXTRACT (SAPONINS) The reason that I think it is more effective than other oil-based cleansers is because of the saponins. LE said when she introduced the product that she was using a variety of ingredients that ordinarily would make it prohibitively expensive to put on the market, especially the saponins, and that the only reason that they were able to launch it at ll is because she owns the patent and therefore was able to source the ingredients herself rather than relying on the factory to do it. And I do think that that the ingredient quality is why it has been more effective for me than other oil-based cleansers. It's still quite expensive and I mostly only use it when I really am having problems getting makeup off through other means. I really am impressed by it though! Thanks very much for your comment! ❤
