APR 21 2024: Feral mama-to-be Berkeley has eluded us for more than a year! We were FINALLY able to trap her using our remote-triggering robo-trap. She's VERY pregnant, and will give birth for the last time in our care. Because she is feral, we will take a very specific approach to her pregnancy, labor, and raising her final litter of kittens in order to minimize her stress and maximize her + kittens well-being. If you see something that doesn't make sense, please ask our mods why we're doing it!
We livestream our rescued cats, 24 hours a day, uncensored, to raise awareness about the realities of cat overpopulation in a way that inspires compassion. Watching Berkeley give birth for the last time is a great way for parents and kids to experience the “miracle of birth” without letting their own pets give birth and further contributing to overpopulation.

She's a slow burn on that feral card... she can still go either way but she may end up like Nelia and be a friendly outdoor cat waiting for her home but staying at the farm until she's adopted. The farm itself may even officially adopt her. They seem to really love their colony.

I don't think that cat is truly feral. I think she's poorly socialized and then dumped. Genuine feral would have been going nuts. Thanks for rescuing her.

Please go to the channel and view the live feed. You will see that the cat's space is not limited to this 'bed'. There is an entire room for her to move around in. The room has a window with a wide ledge for her to sit/lay on, mats and comfortable beds. There is a litter box and multiples types of food positioned for easy access around the room and there is plenty of water for her as well. This is an animal rescue and this is a heavily pregnant, feral cat. She was trapped and brought inside to give birth in comfort and safety. She will get spend time playing with her kittens instead of fighting off predators who want to harm her and them. She is still a bit afraid of humans right now but the team here works on socializing ferals in the hopes that they will adapt to a life indoors so they can be adopted into loving homes. This rescue has been doing this for a long time so I think they are indeed looking out for what is best for her and all of the other animals in their care.

Please give the pregnant moms water & food, as well as exercise. Sometimes pain is eased by moving. I know you want a clean bed but think of what's best for her

you all were very rude and stuck up to me and you totally over looked the number of times i said to you all well done and good job to you but you bantered on about me sharing my personal view about raw diet for my cats that i am sure to get vet approved first. Somehow you all took it so personal as if i was putting everyone down when i wasn't if you scroll back to see what i originally posted. I am taking my $5k check and donating it to the cat rescue center i know about because they are quality people that treat me right and are not a jerk to me over the topic of felines. Best of luck and hopefully you will learn to be kind and get some people who will sponsor you , cause we know where most of the money goes lollololol. Of course the cats. I hardly doubt the commercial canned cat food was vet approved, it is not vet disapproved but vets are not going to shame you for getting cheap food that does the job. Best of wishes to your newborn kittens and to momma cat.
