I had a Ferguson distributor conversion on my 1922 Dodge. I had trouble with the useless points that wouldn't line up. Went electronic and she started right up. Ordered a spare electronic ignition system to keep as a spare in case something goes wrong. Thanks for the video.

Never had a set of points fail that I could not fix in a few minutes for a couple of bucks. When the electronics fail you are often SOL till you can get a replacement unit that costs a lot more than a new set of points. Why people think setting points is so difficult is a mystery to me. I have had the same set of point in my TO-20 for 30 years, and its running great.

T0-20 ferguson 6 volt is there a distributor kit to go to Electronic Ignition?? If so , were is the best place to get it,, tks for the help

Great video. At 12.13sec you said turn to get it as close to #1. I know your referring to #1 cylinder but what are your turning to “aim” at #1 is there something on the distributor?

Just that plate and module??? No magnet or anything that goes on the shafrmt that works the old points??? Plug and play????

Hi John here I am having issues starting my TEA20 after putting the battery terminals on the wrong way accidentally the negative wire was red and the positive wire painted grey caught me out it looked like it was negatively earthed. After that we towed it for some time to try and start it and it had been sitting for a long time. Would that have changed the direction of the motor. sitting on the tractor facing the front the engine fan turns to the left..If anyone can help me i would be greatful.

Replacement points for the T-30 are crap and ill fitting ...I ended up cleaning up the old set and reinstalling them until I do the electronic conversion.

Sorry I disagree with you on this one.the reason people don't like points is they don't know how to adjust them .I would rather have something in the tractor that I can ajust to make the tractor run the way I want in stead of being at the mercy of some transistors and electronics .if it fails there is no second chances....but with points I can pull out my spare set and I am running again. In 15 minutes.
