My 911 Turbo S just rolled 60,000 ... I have 5mm left on the pads (50% worn), and rotors are as new (no issues). I do expect the rotors to last 100-150k easily ...

I couldn't even imagine the cash you're walking through. You gotta love that transitional period in business where barely anything comes in, yet shit piles go out. On the bright side, you only need just a few more things before you're up and running. Phone lines, furniture, computers, tools, garage equipment, staff, office supplys, pens, ink, printers, desks, paper, invoices chairs ,,,,!,?,,, Oh My Gaw , my hairs falling out just thinking about it. FYI on those Carbon Ceramic Rotors, they don't measure wear based on thickness. They measure wear based on weight. Each rotor should have a minimum weight stamped on the hub, and you have to blow out all the dust in the vents to get an accurate reading.

Can't recover the top section of both doors and make them match without replacing? Also, you can buy or make wear pad covers for that part of the door, stick on with false stick. We did it on collector cars where the owner puts their arm out the window all the time. It would cover the rips.

Hey, what do you do when your cars title turns salvage or rebuilt? We have a 2018 macan with a rebuilt title and we took it to the porsche dealership to get service done and they said they cant work on rebuilt/salvage title cars which is stupid.

airbags are tricky. had a guy at my job blow out all the side curtain bags because he was changing out the yaw rate sensor due to a recall. mind you he did so without disconnecting the battery. do yaw rate sensor senses extreme tilt and thinks the vehicle is in a roll over. and boom, car turns into a canoli lol

Well when doing some work on cars it's good practice to replace some components in pairs, are aftermarket carbon ceramics not available?

You should have a big enough opening from the pit area to the lift area in case you have a car towed. Would be way safer and easier to load/unload at dock height than from ground level.

Here in Portugal we just do stuff, no one checks and does that shit. That warehouse would be built in a month from the ground up to perfect shape with just one senior checking if nothing is being done like in china and keeping papers up to date with the architect. Seems like the land of the free has to control everything, even if it means cancelling everything because an ant lives there. Even if you pay millions.

Unevenly worn discs (rotors) can potentially brake unevenly and wear the rear pads unevenly, pretty standard practice on any vehicle to swap discs in axle sets let alone on a relatively high powered exotic, can’t blame them for insisting on that all all.

Fix the door panel. Take the leather off, fix the panel with Fiberglass , and re upholster it with a closely matched leather. Put your money in your pocket! Looked like there were tons of materials behind you on the shelf

You can put some lockers in that dead space and make a small employee lock up area. Or even out a fridge and make it into a place to store food / beverages for the employees. That way they don't need to walk to the front to get a drink / snack.

There is an exotic car junkyard I believe in northern California that Another youtuber Went to to get his 458 parts. You just might be able to find a cheap panel. And cheap might be $1500 but it'll get you up and running

why would you renovate something you are renting? seems like alot of money . what if things dont work out long term for that location?

That leather panel can be made to look like brand new. I work at multiple different dealerships in LA as a vendor for interior repair. Making the wrinkles go away and fixing the tear to a point where the damage isn't noticeable to anyone who isn't looking for it shouldn't take more than 4 or 5 hours of work

I'd love to rent one of your cars in Philly for my wedding in lower Delaware, but I'd eat up the daily miles in one way!

My guess is The theory with the brake rotors is the danger especially in a car that goes vary fast is pulling one side or the other on harsh braking can cause an accident

Should have got the rotors from FerrParts. They are WAYYYYY cheaper than Ferrari and most dealerships are more than happy to install them.

The rotor could preform different side to side and cause the car to slightly turn sideways under heavy breaking. Maybe spit balling

You always replace both rotors at the same time.
