▶︎▶︎ Ferrari’s momentum from Melbourne seems to have carried the team in a direction they couldn’t have hoped for a couple of days ago, and the team is likely to speed up the process of bringing upgrades to the SF-24 to Suzuka. This is the race in which the RB20 will also undergo massive changes with its design amid increased risks that they could get it wrong with the new sidepod design and inlets, so the question arises - can Ferrari repeat their success in Suzuka, and more importantly - is the championship battle back?

Hey everyone! In todays video we are going through the upcoming upgrades Ferrari will bring to the Japanese GP. It's not a massive upgrade, as that will come slightly later into the season at Imola, where teams such as Mercedes & Red Bull will bring upgrades to as well! We are mainly going through what kind of upgrades Ferrari are bringing, and whether they have it in them to properly challenge Red Bull over the next few races. Also an interesting fact to note is that Sergio Perez was 0.500 seconds off the pace compared to the Ferrari's during the Australian GP without having a major issue. Enjoy the video!

I think we, the audience, deserve a competitive championship, that is because there is no lack of amazing talent out there. I mean, if Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren develop their cars to put up a fight with Red Bull, we could be up for an exciting season. And, after the last two years, we need one badly.

thanks for the video but please don't fall in the same trap as others saying Sainz has the upper hand. we're only 3 races in 24, in the first one, Leclerc's issue with his brakes made it impossible for him to finish higher than 4th and if anything, i thought he'd finish 7th. then second race doesn't count as Sainz wasn't there. and in Melbourne, Leclerc lost the race due to poor qualifying so Sainz not having to fight dirty air, had a better time managing his tyres and didn't have an early stop. overall both drivers had pretty much the same lap time over the course of the whole race. let's see how the season evolves but it way too early to say that either driver has the upper hand. just like last year or 2 years ago when Perez had won 2 races early on and everyone started saying he was a contender, as if! other than, good content, thanks

And yeah I agree, Leclerc is still the better overall driver compared to Sainz I think for people who don’t notice all the details of events going on will say Sainz looks like the better one, but Leclerc indeed has had some terrible luck, 2021 & 2023 he had some bad luck too. However Sainz definitely improved massively

@@FormulaTodayF1 oh for sure. my comment wasnt'about discrediting Sainz who's a great driver. it's just that for example, you watch the GP on Sky and they keep mentioning the poor ratio of poles to wins of Leclerc, and some of them are ex F1 drivers! i am like, give this guy a Sunday car and he'll win races, like in early 2022 but stop making stupid comments like that. Ferrari have one of the best pairing out there but i do think Leclerc is better if im honest. at the end of the day, he's the one with the new contract. but Sainz is great too of course, without a doubt and i dont' know why i keep hearing he's underated when you see how good he is. strange

In the last 3 years Sainz is the driver that improved the most. In qualifying and race craft overall. But going through only 3 races with one that he missed. I don’t think it’s fair to think he’s the favourable driver. Let them race but I still bet that Leclerc is a much more complete driver.

@@cjpert5286 I agree, Leclerc in my mind is the better driver but that's not to say that Sainz is useless, far from that. I've always said give Leclerc a Sunday car and he'll bring in the wins. unfortunately, with Red Bull and Max being so dominant, not an easy feast...

Amazing to think that, if Carlos Sainz hadn't had his appendix removed, missing the Saudi GP, he would likely be leading the championship. And in a completely hypothetical world, where Ferrari becomes a truly competitive car, what if Sainz won the championship? I mean, hypothetical but not unviable. I believe Sainz is a lot better than he has performed so far, and definitely world champion material, given the proper circumstances.

If max didn’t dnf in Australia he would’ve been leading the championship. If Charles didn’t have brake problems in Bahrain he would’ve been leading the championship. Hypothetically speaking anything and everything can be true?

I am actually thinking that sainz wins championship this year. If not by any chance, he is going to make a special name this year. Difference is hunger to prove to everybody. Ausgp win is one such sign this season. I might be completely wrong too but like 2021 to verstappen, some thing positive is going to happen to him this year. Bit of gut feeling. We will see. Time will tell us.

3:25 is very lacking in context the second race his teammate perez was behind him for most of the race, who also had a HUGE gap to P3 perez started with a shitty front wing setup which was only fixed after his pitstop and suddenly lost pace after overtaking alonso and apparently it was because of a plastic bit under his floor. don't get your hopes up, red bull will be on top again next week, I can only hope that Ferrari will be closer, but I expect Red Bull to win again...

Absolutely false, Redbull had been struggling since FP with setup and race pace, plus Verstappen's sudden brake problem happened one lap after being overtaken by sainz (and that's proven by the fact that Max's rear right tyre was seen smoking only at lap 4, not 3.)

A slow driver in a fast car can win races (Perez) but a fast driver in a slow car will never win, better to have kept sainz who is over a decade younger (huge advantage in all sports) as hammy is on the wrong end of the age curve. Even Alonso is but a shadow of his former self, same with Vettel, same with Schumacher, they were all great racers but now too old and wise to push 101% like the newer generation who are faster now (verstappen, sainz, leclerc)

I support Max Verstappen, he's so strong and never was wrong last year, forever perfect. But I'm also Italian and I love Charles, so I really hope that Ferrari finally understand how to manage a car, a team, the drivers and the strategies. I really hope that what I heard in this video will come true and my favorite Max and Charles begin to battle again like early 2022 championship. If this will come true I don't mind who will win, anybody is ok to me
