The Ferrari Purosangue is Ferrari's first 4-door supercar and we took it to the stylish ski resort of Cortina in Italy to see how it coped with, motorways, snowy roads and mountain passes.

Ah, Cortina d'Ampezzo. Brings back memories. Forty three years ago, just before Christmas, I ventured there with a few friends. Late one evening we went to the town centre and saw something quite strange... British workmen fitting windows in a shop front, so we had a chat. They told us they were making the shop ready for an action scene in a James Bond movie. Basically, they were installing special 'sugar glass' for actors to smash through the following morning. If I remember correctly, guys on motorbikes were going to crash through the window. Anyway, we then decided to go to a Disco. The moment the staff heard us speaking English, they asked if we were with the James Bond crew, so we laughed and jokingly said yes. To our surprise, they thought we were serious and provided us with free booze all evening. I think we tried every cocktail on the menu. Good times! Oh yes, the Ferrari... very nice, very nice indeed. I think I'll have three 😂

Massive points for Ferrari for introducing the car with a naturally aspirated V12! Together with the clever suspension it feels Ferrari didn’t take the easy way out, but actually created something that does not exist in the market. Even if it quite clearly is an SUV, no matter what Maranello tells us.. I was ready to hate this thing, but now I actually quite appreciate it. Thanks for the great review again!

I think physical maps like that actually have one advantage over digital and that is that they can show you if you have bitten off more than you can chew for you planned route. You can lose the perception of distance and time with digital. Having to unfold a map and then turn again for the second part of the journey can mean " time taken" .... :)

'Cinematography' might be a tad overblown... All things considered, normally, the camerawork (videography?) is quite unimpressive, oblivious of it being taken in the car or outside, by Mrs Met or golden haired son, in the shed/garage or rolling through the south of France. At least with some of the Italian Alps backdrop, it's easier to get a pretty nice shot.

There's the car, and then there's the video. I now take for granted your succinct and relatable summaries of the car itself, highlighting what makes the car special (or not). But the video quality here was very special. All the different shots from in & outside the car. Hearing the V12 from inside & outside of the tunnels. Watching and listening from behind a thick stand of tall pine trees as you carve a series of S curves and come into the clear. Watching from behind as the suspension works to maintain grip when exiting corners. And, throughout it all, the glorious sound of the engine. Kudos to what seems like a small army of camera people, support staff an video editors. Or is it just you, your son and your wife? Although one of your best videos, it's a crushing blow that it's sold out and I won't be able to trade in my 2008 Honda

BRILLIANT !! Ferrari has created the ultimate "Soccer Mom" car. Perfect for shopping, taking Jimmy to his ball game, dropping little Nancy off at her dance lessons and then tearing up some twisties. You want to talk about the neighborhood "Cool Mom"? Be happy, be safe

I wasn't happy a few years ago reading Ferrari was going to make an SUV. But wow I love the look and sound of it now that I see the completed car. Long roof for the win!

Great video as usual. Love the escape to Cortina too. You looked and sounded like you really enjoyed the drive which said it all really. A great Ferrari evidently. Out of curiosity, what was your camera/chase car - it kept up admirably.

I love, when Harry brings out the map! My neighbour has a Lusso, and I think he, rigth now, is driving his footbaler wife mad by looking at Purosangue videoes. He will get one, no doubt. Awesome video, Harry, it made me feel like an Italian playboy. And that is the biggest praise of a car, I really tried not to like!

As I've gotten older, my tastes have changed from sports cars/supercars to cars that can be daily driven. This looks like the perfect blend of both practicality and passion. This has quickly become my new favourite Ferrari. If I had a few million dollars to spare for the sticker price and the upkeep, I'd probably buy one because it has no equal.

Awesome video as usua Harry. Never been to Italy or in a Ferrari but loved the views and sound of both! Price tag is expensive but then there's no such thing as a cheap Ferrari!

Haha, Harry is a true gentleman. Only lesser men, like me, would not resist dropping a gear and revving that V12 engine in that tunnel 🤣 5:50

Great video as always. We stopped at Falzarego last May when on a road trip with the Stelvio Q, and walked up to the crest of the hill south of the parking. However, we completely missed the cable car on the other side of the road…

Hey Harry I’ve just been up the Lagozuoi pass yesterday and done the cable car and ski decent back down the 8.5k piste on the other side. Not to mention being towed by the horses back into the village at the end of the piste!

Phenomenal review as always Harry! I thought I was gonna hate this one, but then again it does feel like one of the great Ferrari 2+2s, just with a bit more useful bottom clearance and easier entry to the cabin for the more comfortable minded lot. Gotta say though those dark wheel wells within wheel wells do not do the car any favours in trying to NOT have people call it an SUV…

Immediately after ten minutes, you realize this review by Harry is, as usual, head and shoulders above the others, at least in the feel you get, the details that matter. And...location location location. Of course you want the James Bond experience that goes with such a car. I even started liking the Purosangue, a concept I wasn't immediatly drawn on. Chapeau to Ferrari for making "a crossover" with their very own salsa and that lovely N/A V12, which no one did since the LM.
