They have in fact done a number of really good covers, e.g. "Blinding Lights", "Dragostea tin dei", "Ding" (with Melissa Bony and a super funny video), "Gimme gimme" (from Abba) and , as you already noticed "warriors of the world" with several guest artists, also they have made an incredibly good cover of "Square Hammer" (from Ghost) which i can highly recommend, but since there is no video for that, i would say the Manowar cover sticks out. They do of course have lots of original material, the most recent being "Berzerkermode" and "Bastard von Asgard". Generally speaking you can't really go wrong with them.

They are a folk metal band founded by people who thought other folk metal bands take themselves too seriously. They also do a lot of covers, but their original songs are always in German. They actually did cover the Rammstein song ‘Engel’, though I don’t think they made a video for it.

Feurshwanz is representative of a genre called Medieval metal, or Mittelalter-Metal in German. It is related to folk metal because folk music has its origins in the Middle Ages. It is a popular genre in Germany. Probably the first band of this genre in Germany was In Extremo. Some consider the British band Subway to Sally to be the originator of the genre, although they classify themselves as folk rock. Other well-known bands in the genre include Corvus Corax, Tanzwut, Schandmaul, Morgernstern, Schattentantz. These bands often turn to ancient instruments like cister, hurdy-gurdy, biniou, buccina, davul, riq, cornetto curvo, shawm and bagpipes. Also, many German folk bands, such as Faun, or Waldkauz, are very Medieval and Pagan. All these bands often collaborate with each other. As for Feurshwanz, the band is distinguished by its sense of humor and distance from itself. It's kind of a bit of a rock cabaret. They always perform in costumes like in a music video (e.g., the leader and vocalist as a knight, more like a knight faery, such a parody of Don Quixote). They always have great music videos. It's worth watching, not just listening, because even without knowing German you can understand the humor. The name itself is also witty, as it means Firetail and has rather erotic overtones. I recommend all the music videos by them, a whole range of witty covers, and especially Ding. There will be an opportunity to get acquainted with guest vocalist Melissa Bonny, one of the few vocalists who can switch between clean vocals and growling without a problem (much like Tatiana Shmailyuk of Jijnger).

Hmm, to stay by their originals, try Bastard von Asgard. From the covers, check Ding and Warriors of the World United. And for a double feature, Schubsetanz and Schubsetanz Black Metal.

You mentioned Viking metal, then you really need to check out the band "Brothers of Metal", whose songs are about Norse mythology. It's great music with a male & female vocalist, plus they don't take themselves too seriously in the videos. Try the songs "Yggdrasil," "Mead Song", "Njord", "One", "Kaunaz Dagaz (Dawn of Fire)"

They have version of Electirc Callboys Hyper Hyper as folk metall version and for example The dragonborn comes feat. Lara Loft. I can imagine that you like this too. From Feuerschwanz you should have look on Bastard From Asgard.

If you're into German rock bands then it's worth noting the more epic metal performed by singer Hansi Kürsch. He is the front man and bassist of the band Blind Guardian (also often referencing the Middle Ages). However, I would suggest starting with his private project Demons & Wizard, and on "Diabolic" or "Wolves in Winter." Amazing vocals and powerful bass.

Honestly, I have no idea why someone would draw a parallel between Feuerschwanz and Rammstein 🤨 Feuerschwanz means Firesnake by the way. I'm not German but I studied it for two years in the Swedish equivalent of Junior High. But anyway - beyond the fact that both of their lyrics are primarily in German just like Rammstein and that they are a metal band as well there is really very little overlap in my opinion. Their genres are VERY different as far as metal goes. Power/Folk Metal/Viking Metal and Industrial Metal.. So.. yeah.They're both two great German bands with Rammstein definitely being the more unique and generally versatile one though.

By the by - If you want another cool song by them you should check out their cover of Manowar's "Warriors of the World". Their version is called "Warriors of the World United" It features a really cool music video and some prominent guest-vocalists :) Edit: Oh that was it at the end there, I commented before finishing the video before hehe

They have a lot of awesome videos but I would recommend Ding with Melissa Bony, just because the video is really funny and the cover is great. Also, if you don't know who Melissa Bony is it's a great way to introduce her. You should also definitely check out Untot im Drachenboot, Schubsetanz and Warriors of the World (Cover of Manowar, it's a collaboration of lot of Folk Metalist).
