Your title is misleading. The Shariah female circumcision which the Sheikh continues to defend is also included in the politicised FGM ban. The only type of female circumcision that the Sheikh labelled as "illegal in Islamic law" is the type of circumcision that REMOVES ALL. And he put forward a clear condition by saying "IF THAT IS WHAT THEY MEAN FGM THEN IT IS HARAM". Therefore, you should be very careful to use such generalised titles!

The title for the video is not suitable it could be misleading... besides the imam has clearly stated the difference between mutilation and circumcision . mutilation is not practiced in the Gambia

You should change the title because the politicised FGM is defined as removing part or all of the clitoris which is not meant by the Sheikh.

@@islamingambia Brother! The Sheikh NARROWED the term FGM only to TOTAL REMOVAL OF THE CLITORIS which is not directly understood by the AUDIENCE. The audience is very aware that the politicised FGM ban includes the removal of EVEN THE TIP OF THE CLITORIS which the Sheikh defends and confirms that it is LEGAL IN SHARIAH LAW. Therefore, the title is MISLEADING. You better change the title in a way that truly and honestly represents the Sheikh's position and the position of the Supreme Islamic Council. Please change the title for the sake of Allah! And may Allah reward you for doing that. Thanks.
