It looks like as Bortuzzo went to get up his stick was pinned under Fiala and he likely figured Fiala was holding it on purpose. So the push/punch was likely to encourage him to let his stick go.

I disagree, but you're entitled to what you think. its a big boys game, they know they can get hurt making ambitious plays like that, Fiala was brave going it like that. I don't see that you can blame Bortuzzo for Fialas injury. And Bortuzzo doesn't know Fiala was hurt on the play, so when Fiala grabs ahold of his stick Bortuzzo jabs him.
