Miran Štine restored the second Fiat 619 - this time with three axles - and returned it its former glory. This time we tried to have just enough text to present the truck and its owner. At the same time, we made sure that you can hear the extraordinary voice of the Fiat engine - an Italian tenor among trucks (or maybe a baritone).

Kao čovek kome je muzika struka, odgovorno tvrdim: ako je išta davalo šarm starim kamionima i autobusima (pa i automobilima), to su njihovi zvuci (motori, menjači, diferencijali, škripa kočnica... kako kod koje marke i modela). Ovaj Fiatov kamion nije izuzetak. Zvuk motora je odličan. Motor zaista peva. Sve pohvale za gospodina Štineta i puno sreće sa MB 1635. Vama, kao i uvek, hvala na interesantnom videu.

Great truck I have very fond memories of working on the 684 and 619 my favourite the 619 sleeper cab ,only remember a couple of problems the exhaust brake would seize up on long descents and stop the engine and the exhaust to manifold was to ridged and would snap the studs but a fanbloodytastic truck that would pull a house down in its day you have made a wonderful job of the restoration 👍👨🏻‍🏭🇬🇧

Avete fatto un ottimo lavoro, bellissimo, io amo i camion, faccio l'autista, ammetto che la guida a destra non è facile, ma posso confermare che almeno fino agli anni 90 la Fiat Iveco ha prodotto camion che ancora oggi circolano su strada.💓💓🚛🚛🚛💪💪💪😎😎😎

Is this from Slovenia? This is very clear speaking to study language, and tempo is nice calm. If I would to study new language, this kind of talking Canon be very good help. I am sorry not to recognize language and reg-pilates.

Lovely engine noise, and great video!. 260 hp seems quite a lot for truck like that of that age?. My Dad was a truck driver for most of his working life and I remember him having a Magirus Deutz with an air cooled V8. That also made a lovely noise and was his favourite of all the different trucks he drove.

Ciao! Qui in Italia fino al 1975 c'era una legge che i grossi camion dovevano avere la guida a destra obbligatoria! È una legge vecchia che risale al 1915 ai tempi della prima guerra mondiale! Il motivo è che nelle strade strette è in prossimità di burroni avendo la guida a destra si riusciva più facilmente a stare con le ruote sul ciglio di dirupi, sempre nel caso in cui ci si incrociava con un altro camion! Io guidato camion con la guida a destra e nei punti dove la strada è stretta certe manovre vengono più facili! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Časi, ko je bil šofer šofer, ne pa računalničar kot danes. 😁 Res je, lep glas, a meni osebno je najlepši od Fiata 350 V8, obvezno s Fullerjem, za užitek pri prestavljanju. Ko to slišiš na 2 km daleč....😍

Looking forward to the rebuild of the Mercedes, I drove one of those in the late 90s. Great comfortable cab. But hated the “ Gearbox,” It would always select 2 gears too low.

mentre gli stranieri si compravano il 619, camion moderno nel motore potente, nel cambio sincronizzato, nel riduttore pneumatico, gli italiani si compravano la baracca del 691, per poter sovraccaricare. Il 691 era un 690 con la cabina moderna e una manciata di cavalli in più, vecchio come il cucco

there were a lot of right hand drive in Italy for the mountain roads, so they could keep close to the edge, i used to run UK to Italy in the 80"s

Had them in Australia also, gearboxes seem to be the weakness, replaced with Eaton Fuller roadranger

@@cliffordjones9226 that is kind of bizarre. I run narrow bush roads (granted not as narrow as eu/uk when on main roads) and I have no problem staying to the right. I would think turning left in a city would be perilous with a rhd truck if you are driving on the right side of the road.

Here in Poland I never seen Fiat trucks. Probably because Poland had own trucks brands like Star or Jelcz.

These trucks were slow so they must be on the right side of the road and they had right-hand steering to improve road curb visibility.

well, Yugoslav companies bought up until 2nd part of 1970s new FIAT, Alfa Romeo (up until they pulled the plug in 1960s), Lancia, OM buses and trucks directly from Italy, it meant that they had steering wheel on the right due to Italian laws regarding big commercial vehicles, I guess it was cheaper for Yugoslavian companies to import right hand steering buses and trucks, instead of buying left hand steering ones...bear in mind that FIAT didnt exported that much commercial vehicles outside Italy (they exported most of them in Europe to countries like Belgium (via Van Hool which made special trucks and bus bodies on FIAT and Alfa Romeo chassis from 1950s till 1980s), France (expecially after FIAT bought Unic), Netherlands...most right hand driven FIAT ones in Europe were experted into United Kingdom in 1960s and 1970s, Switzerland was strange case (lhd and rhd FIAT, Lancia, OM trucks were exported).

Damals krochen Italiener mit solchen FIAT den Monte Ceneri hoch. Eine dicke Russfahne aus dem Auspuff, kein turbo, und langsam. Und wir haben sie mit dem Saurer LKW, mit turbo, locker überholt.

Imam nekaj delov motorja Mercedes Benz OM422A, če lahko pomagajo. V Bellunu v Italiji. Imam cel motor razen bloka cilindrov. 360 KM, povečana diesel črpalka, tretji batni obroček, vodna črpalka, 2 turbo polnilnika.
