After watching this, I really now have a big appreciation for pilots and what there job is like. This was an amazing film.

Reminds me of Uberlingen. Controller P. Nielsen was handling both the Tupolev and the Boeing, both planes crashed because of his ATC error because of him being the only controller on duty. The Tupolev was used to the controller instructing to climb or descend whenever traffic is near by. But the Boeing pilots were already used to the Traffic Collision Avoidance System. So, the controller told the Tupolev pilots to descend, but the Boeing pilots also descended, instructed by TCAS. The cause of the crash in this video was very similar to the Uberlingen event.

Sad fact: One of the victims of the collision is Leux Trancai, who is the CEO of French Coastal Airlines, an airline mostly serving flights to France’s territorial regions outside of mainland France. He was on the Air France flight, going to Izolirani to receive his job as the ATC controller of Al Najaf Airport, in which he appointed a few weeks prior. Plus, the ATC controlling Skopelos was his friend, Trevi Trancai, who worked for Sky Skopelos since 1997. After the collision, he quit his job, got depression, and allegedly took his life himself. Edit: Changed date from 2019 to 1997 because the date the incident happened in the video was actually April 4th 2001.😅😅😅

When Air France Flight 1388 and Korean Air 809 collided, Air France 1388 crashed, killing everyone onboard. Korean Air 809 continued on for 6 minutes before crashing into the sea. Originally, 17 people (including the First Officer and 2 flight attendants) survived the crash but they all were in critical condition and then perished later.

There was actually a crash like this in Europe it was a Russian airliner and a DHL airliner and they collided due to there being one controller for the airspace the controller told one pilot to climb while the TCAS of the other aircraft was also telling them to climb. The aircraft the controller was talking to its TCAS system was telling it to descend but the controller told them to climb and so they climbed and they collided

This video reminded me about the 2002 Überlingen mid-air collision. Good film/video.

I think this story is based on a real plane crash.It reminds me of Überlingen mid air collision.The crash is really similar to this crash,but just different plane and different airline.On July 1st 2002 2 plane collided in mid air over Überlingen,Germany.Bashkirian airlines flight 2937 was flying from Moscow to barcelona.The plane was operating Tupolev Tu-154.DHL flight 611 was flying from Bergamo to Brussels.The plane was operating Boeing 757.When both plane are flying over Überlingen the ATC (Peter Nielsen order flight 2937 to descend but then the TCAS order the plane to climb.At the same time the TCAS of DHL 611 order the plane to descend.Flight 2937 decided to follow the ATC and started to descend.The DHL decided to follow the TCAS and started to descend.When they saw other plane the DHL descend more.Flight 2937 saw the DHL and started to climb.And then both plane collided in mid air.The DHL vertical stabilizer slices the fuselage of flight 2937.The DHL lost their vertical stabilizer. Sadly (if i remember) on 24 February 2004 Vitaly Kolayev kills Perter Nielsen at his home. Btw nice video.I like it.Keep it up

Even if your controller says otherwise, ALWAYS follow TCAS. Controller says descend and TCAS says climb? Climb 2000 feet. Controller says climb and TCAS says descend, descend 2000 feet.

8:16 189.66 is WAY out of the range of commercial VHF radios. The highest those can go is 137 MHz. The frequencies are arranged in intervals of .05, so even if you could tune the radio to 189, it would have to be 189.65 or 189.70.

I know I’m late, first of all AMAZING video and very similar to the uberlingen collision. And also For the Korean plane it is another case of pilots fighting to the even though they now there doomed and sometimes saving peoples lives (United Airlines 232) and great fire animation for the Air France plane. Ik so they save time,etc why don’t they turn when they see another plane turn right to avoid them and ALWAYS FOLLOW TCAS Great vid ~DJ ;)

my flight crash was tragic the story begins with Aircanada 7720, the atc called aircanada to go to runway 36L aircanada went to 36L, suddenly, the ATC realized theres a plane heading for 7720 while the pilot say "OH GOD" later then, the 2 aircanadians crashed each other, leaving the pilot injured, emergency services were called and the pilot was saved from the collision, the pilot in the other aircanada didnt manage to survive, leaving it dead.
