A decade back my brother decided to study in Cuba because education, health, and housing is all free there. He came back with doctorate and said be loved every minute he was in Cuba. During his schooling I decided to also save money and visit Cuba. We traveled all over Cuba, "non-Havana" as you would say, and it wasn't so different from many other Central and South American nations. In some places, it resembled Russia or United States. Put simply I think you're lying. Your facts don't match up
@jamesrobertson4323 жыл бұрын
I'm happy for your brother. That's great. I'm not sure why Cuba would give free education, health and housing to people who visit there. It seems pretty unfair to people who work there and pay tax to provide all that to people from overseas. That said I don't blame your brother for going over and doing that. He would have had a great time. I wonder how high doctorates from Cuba are regarded though by employers.

Have been to Cuba several times. When Castro made a speech, he would round up people, as many as they could find and take them to the stadium for his speeches. Sometimes they lasted more than 12 hours. I can't even imagine speaking for 5 minutes. Pierre Trudeau had many long discussions with Castro. They actually listened to each other. I was in communist eastern Europe in the early 70s and learned that each country was differant. In Yugoslavia if you drove some politician you kept the car and used it as taxi for tourists. Bulgarian women were either skinny or waterbuffaloes meaning nobody starved. Bucherest had food lines because food was sold to other countries. Castro did an interview with the NY Times which he parleyed into dictator of Cuba. Brezhnef made Castro go to Russia in winter English Russia, a Russian website has a foto of Castro in a fur looking like a drowned cat. Btw Lenin wore nice suits and owned a Rolls. There are a number of Cadilacs in Russia some of which may have been there under communism. Zil copied Lincolns and they went to the Russian communist leaders as limos. Zil cost 5 times what a Lincoln cost to make.

Actually, the Bolivian government got Che after he illegally entered their country & attempted to overthrow the government. But yes, the CIA & US Army Green Berets trained Bolivian army forces that captured him. However, the CIA & US wanted him alive -- Bolivia's President made the decision to execute him. Che, in real life, was no hero -- he personally executed with his pistol many people without a trial, and later was responsible for the executions of thousands -- many of whom were innocent.
