Ironically - when talking about why you don't have a better light - one of the main points of SCP-087 is that no matter what type of light you use it only reaches a certain distance. Even pre-placed lights that one of the D-Class (Which you played) placed on the walls simply faded away after a few meters distance. If I remember correctly of course...

What did they do!? I watched someone play the OG version of this game back in 2012, and it is so much better. There's no shitty voice acting, no first-mustache intro cutscene, the player walked much faster, there was no clutter on the screen and it was so much simpler and more streamlined. Why did they make it worse? More is not always better.

Some of these SCP games are just garbage, which is a shame, because a lot of the original SCPs they're based on are actually really good.

I think this is probably the worst version of this game that's ever come out. Back like 5 years ago there was a free game of this that was WAY better. Better voice acting, closer to the source material, and when you get to the end it puts you in a fucking horror maze. Like shit chasing you, spooky atmosphere, all kinds of spooky shit. I don't know if you guys would want subject yourselves to another, better, stair simulator, but just to compare and contrast the two, you should look up the free to play one. I think it's on game jolt or itchio or one of those sites. They're worlds apart in terms of spooks and quality.
