No comment on the 2 races he won going away ??...The 1 race he didn`t win got a bad start and then tried to rally 3 wide on a muddy track..Not a recipe for success for a 2yo..jock wrapped him up early to save him for another day..

@Syo1257 When does he want to run? Too long a race. His sire didn't like 1 1/4 mi.

@Syo1257 I agree that young horses racing further than they ever have cannot be assured of having the ability to do so or be definitely dismissed until they've tried it. The stamina issue is also effected by whether or not a horse is relaxed on a lone lead or is tense because of going head to head with a competitor. Genetics is a very complex part of the equation and is not, of course, fully understood. Therefore, I also agree that we don't know if his sire's limitations will predominate. There is plenty of stamina on his dam's side including from Stay Thirsty's sire, Bernardini, and Bernardini's sire A. P. Indy. On his dam's side he has Northern Dancer and Roberto, both stamina sources although one of Northern Dancer's son's Danzig was not a good stamina influence. Another important key is whether or not some trainers and jockeys will have their horses sent to challenge Fierceness for the lead. I have a feeling that some will. For example, Dornoch's connections claim the attempts they've made to try to make him into a stalker are ended for now. Furthermore, they have no choice but to send him from the rail in order not to get buried behind a wall of other horses. Fierceness will also have to be used to get over toward the rail in order to avoid being hung out wide and having to cover more ground. He definitely has the ability but has shown a tendency to wilt under pressure. He looks like the fastest horse but also does not look like a sure thing. As a favorite, if he gets beat, the payoffs will be much higher. I think there is enough reason to gamble against him but I am not unaware of the risks of doing so.
