Anthony Taylor makes bad decisions against every team, but so do all refs. I preferred pre-VAR because that fact, though begrudged, was accepted. He obviously called the entire game very loosely, another pretty consistent aspect of his refereeing, in general. The no call for the cucurella stomp on romero a prime example.

Ok, lets debunk this so called foul by Bentancur. The replays show clearly he got the ball and Haverts then looked for the foul. The referees will no longer be conned by players rolling around looking for freekicks when they lose the ball. The second spurs goal was not offside, Richarlison made no attempt to go to the ball, he was too far out to distract the keeper and infact the player blocking his view was Koulibaly his own player.

@ryancouture1436

Bacuase it is run by the same people "we" decided we couldn't trust without it. arbitrating, in all of its forms, is vulnerable to errors. I appreciate the human quality of athletics, and would have preferred VAR stopping at goal line tech. You cannot eliminate human error and bias without eliminating the humans. Maybe we just cool our heads and recognize that everyone feels aggrieved when it happens against them, and justified when it happens for them. No fan, player or coach is untouched. As fans, please just stop whining about it, becasue that is one part of it that you can actually control.

@ryancouture1436
@ryancouture1436 Жыл бұрын
The decision was most likely that it wasn't an act of brutality nor did it affect the play. I agree it was a foul, but once missed can only be VARed if it results in a red card, which the officials decided it wasn't. We can debate the issue of brutality, but it is obviously not sttled and for refs who allow a more physical game, one could understand the argument at least.

100% of what happened is on Ten Hag, he see his players on practice, he knows they suck, he knows they can not play out of the back and have short passes in the defensive side of the field, and he still tells them to play like that? With the players he has he needs to play 3-5-2 with long balls 100% of the time with 2 # 6 and just skip the middle and go long balls to the other team's half.. Until he will have players like in Man City he will not be able to play his Ajax soccer, a good coach would have gotten that after the first game.. I don't understand the Spurs narrative that NBC has tried to pull since the game. They deserve credit for getting back into a game where they were favorites coming in, bossed all around the pitch in every aspect of the game, rescued by inexcusable refereeing on the field and in the VAR booth? Where do Spurs deserve credit, for not conceding too many for the referee to get them back into the game? As far as the VAR check for the Havertz foul, the foul caused the pressure for Spurs. Chelsea never got the ball into a neutral position after the foul, even when Jorginho got the ball, it was in the box under pressure. How is that not the same passage of play. The time that passed isn't the issue, it's the pressure that's created as a direct result of the missed foul.

If Alex F. was coaching this game he would have called some players out on the field and yelled at them and embarrassed them in front of everyone. That will not happen these days with over achieving players who are celebrities before even winning anything. Maybe it is in their contract now that they can't be yelled at by their coach! who knows.

Players cheat and get away with all sorts of foul play at every corner. If it's not holding, blocking, pulling shirts it's diving and falling at the slightest touch. What goes around comes around.

Nope it's not too far back..you guys are meant to be knowledgeable but to not state the chelsea had a goal disallowed last season after 117srconds after wazpi had fouled just belittled your knowledge..do some research before you show how less you know

Spurs win 2-2 at the Bridge! Sour grapes on the officiating. Jorginho juggled the ball in his own box, and LocoRella was busy getting knots out of his hair on that last corner!

What a pair of comedians. The ball in play, the ball not in play? The ball was not in play when the handshake took place at the end of the match and they both got red cards. Football is just chock full of double standards.

HYPOCRITES .....If it were Jose Mourinho that did what Tuchel did, both of you would have been expressing your disappointment and insults at the Special One. Most of you never fail to criticize him at the least opportunity. Conte parks the BUS twice as much but nobody says anything..

if you can grab the hair without even coming close to the head on purpose, you can do it on accident. would a shirt pull in that position be a red card? Then how do you know he wasn't just trying to pull the jersey and got caught up in those lucious locks? you don't, and that is why you shouldn't play professional football with long hair.

As a spurs diehard, we've been needing the energy guys like Conte and cuti bring to us. Son and Kane, love them to bits, But they seem to kinda lack the moxie needed in games like this (Son moreso, was poor yesterday). Refreshing to see some bite in my spurs

Let's start spending more time talking about interesting clubs on the rise, and less time talking about Man. United. Right now Newcastle, Arsenal, Westham are all better and more interesting stories than MU, and you barely talked about them at all. You started out saying the Spurs/Chelsea game is why we love the EPL, then you spend all this time discussing the exact opposite - MU.
