A Night to Remember: Fiesta Dinner at the Pandanyag Festival 2024 in La Libertad, Negros Oriental

Our destination for two days? The vibrant Pandanyag Festival in La Libertad, Negros Oriental-an event we had been eagerly awaiting for, because we had an invitation of the town Mayor.
With our convoy of two vehicles, we set off before lunch, eager to soak in the sights and sounds of this renowned celebration. The road stretched before us, winding its way through picturesque landscapes of lush greenery and glimpses of the sparkling sea, often along the shores of Negros Oriental on National Highway 7.
After a few hours of travel, we arrived in Jimalalud, the town preceding La Libertad, where we found sanctuary at a hotel by the sea.
After settling in and rejuvenating from our journey, we joined our friends from Dumaguete and surrounding areas to accept an exclusive invitation-to dine as VIP guests at the Pandanyag Festival dinner hosted by none other than Mayor Emmanuel Limkaichong Iway at the Lalimar Resort in La Libertad. Nestled along the pristine coastline, the resort greeted us with open arms, offering spacious areas with traditional Nipa roofs and inviting infinity pools overlooking the azure sea.
Mayor Iway, one of the youngest and most dedicated mayors in the Philippines, welcomed us warmly to the Lalimar Resort. His commitment to providing a thriving community for the residents of La Libertad was evident in the grandeur of the evening's festivities.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. The sound of laughter filled the air as guests gathered at the beachfront.
After a beautiful dinner we made our way to the open-air concert and were weaved through by security direct to the stage.
We were deeply thankful to Mayor Iway for extending his hospitality and allowing us to be part of such a momentous occasion.
As we reflected on our adventure, we couldn't help but marvel at the richness of Filipino culture and the warmth of its people. The Pandanyag Festival had not only provided us with a night of celebration but also a deeper understanding of the spirit of community that thrives in La Libertad.
La Libertad has some wonderful tourist attractions we are going to explore in the furture.
Our fiesta dinner night is the first part of a two part video. The 2nd part is probably ready for viewing tomorrow and will show parts of the concert and the lively carnival.
It was a night to remember.
