PayPal Donations: hanzagod@mail.com
Fighting Harada - Is a former world boxing champion in the Flyweight and Bantamweight divisions, and also challenged for the Featherweight title twice. He is currently the president of the Japanese boxing association. Harada was arguably one of Japan's most popular boxers; his fame reached international status, and Puerto Rico's Wilfredo Gómez declared that Harada was his idol as a child. Harada was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1995. In 2002, he was ranked as the 32nd greatest boxer of the past 80 years by Ring magazine.

One of the best jabs in Flyweight and Bantamweight history! Fighting Harada is the greatest Japanese boxer of all time, one of the more underrated aspects of his skill set was his jab so I wanted to showcase that here. Brilliant fighter! www.patreon.com/haNZAgod

The basics and foundation here are flawless. Thats one thing you gotta resoect about Japanese. When they want to learn something they want it all. When they teach they teach it as it was intended. Everything is on point. Everything is important. They dont cut corners. Keeping the standard high.

Great highlights! Harada was incredible at setting up either the right overhand or the left body hook with those jabs. Stepping in with precise and balanced footwork on every punch, moving, against common boxing doctrine towards the opponent's power hand. His knees were always bent and ready. If they kept their guard hight and stayed square, down to the left he went, ripping a nasty hook to their open side. If they pivoted too much or got lax with their guard, he would explode off the back leg and up and around came the right, with every single cell of his body behind it.
@getsmart3701

That is some beautiful footwork, to move in so fast behind that jab and still be on balance to unleash multiple hooks of it. Japan has always had skillful, honest boxers and I think Harada is still the best of that countries offerings so far. Famacheon got flattened there at 1.08 but I beleive he came back to win that fight...respect. Great job as always there haNZAgod.

When I was a kid, I remember watching some of this film on TV. I immediately realized, that is how you throw the jab and coordinate with your footwork. Cut off the ring, keep moving left, and jab the opponent. take note kids, this is how it is done, Harada was a great technician

Man I gotta hand it to you man, when I first got into boxing, I thought Boxing Legends TV was the best boxing channel. And I still highly enjoy his videos, don’t get me wrong, but after gaining knowledge of the sports history and lesser known fighters, I now say that this is the best boxing channel, because it brings the forgotten legends back to life more than ANY other boxing channel. From the Black Murderer’s Row to Sonny Liston and Ezzard Charles, from Samart Payakaroon to Fighting Harada, this channel got pretty much everything covered! And despite all that, only 50,000 subscribers... Its a damn shame.
